Summary: By cohabitating IgG1 with gelatin in the solid-state at room temperature, long-term stable storage is achieved. The IgG1 remained functionally active for a record 14 months, with no degradation in the gelatin matrix. This method has direct application in treating gastrointestinal microbial infections and provides an energy economic alternative for long-term functional storage of therapeutic proteins at room temperature.

Summary: Heat-treated miscanthus fibers can improve the compressive strength and flexural strength of miscanthus mortar, thanks to reduced porosity and enhanced compatibility. Mechanical strength degradation of miscanthus mortar mainly occurs in the first month after being soaked in water. Removing sugar from the fibers is beneficial for strength development and durability of the mortar.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the long-term relaxation of one-dimensional self-gravitating systems using both kinetic theory and N-body simulations. Our findings show that all combinations of thermal and Plummer equilibria, with or without collective effects, are consistent with the predictions of Balescu-Lenard and Landau for diffusion coefficients. Interestingly, collective effects reduce diffusion by a factor of about 10. The predicted flux for Plummer equilibrium matches the measured one, providing a remarkable validation of kinetic theory. We also observe a case of quasikinetic blocking for the same equilibrium.

Summary: This study reports a complex niobium tungsten oxide electrochromic material that exhibits good redox kinetics within a range of polarity, with fast coloration and bleaching times, high optical modulation and coloration efficiency. Moreover, the material demonstrates excellent electrochemical stability, maintaining 78.1% performance retention after 8000 cycles. These superior performances are attributed to the fast and stable Li-ion intercalation/extraction in the open framework of Nb18W16O93 with multiple ion positions, providing a strategy for developing electrochromic materials with fast response time and good cycle stability.
