Summary: This study examines how students' personality traits and course attendance preferences influence academic integrity in the HyFlex learning environment. The researchers surveyed 535 undergraduate STEM students who had the option to choose face-to-face, online, or hybrid courses. The results indicate that emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness are positively associated with academic integrity, regardless of attendance mode. However, predominantly face-to-face attendance and extraversion are linked to lower levels of academic integrity. The research suggests that considering students' personality traits related to ethical behavior is beneficial for designing HyFlex courses in various learning environments, leading to improved education quality and enhanced academic integrity.

HKDC1, a newly identified fifth HK, has been found to play a role in whole-body glucose utilization and insulin sensitivity, and is differentially expressed in various forms of human cancer. This review focuses on the role of HKs, particularly HKDC1, in metabolic reprogramming and cancer progression.

Summary: This study aims to develop a sustainable faculty development program by accelerating the potential of all subspecialty fellowships into the PGY 5 year. Through programmatic changes, internal candidates are recruited to enter an accelerated fellowship based on projected faculty hiring needs. The results show that 27% of the candidates successfully participated in the accelerated fellowship program, and 67% continue to serve on faculty after completing the required instructor year.

Summary: Our study delves into the realm of online international mentoring for novice faculty members at distant universities. The analysis of interview data from 30 mentees reveals the diverse conceptualizations of mentoring, mentor roles, and transformative potential in professional relationships. A model of transformative experiences is proposed to illustrate the evolution of professional development within an online faculty mentoring program. Additionally, the study highlights the impact of physical distance on the authenticity of mentoring relationships.

Summary: This study evaluates a combined novice, peer-, near-peer, and e-mentoring program along with interprofessional team-based mentoring to address the gaps in mentoring efforts in Palliative Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematic scoping review reveals characteristics, mentoring stages, assessment methods, and host organizations as key domains in this program, suggesting a structured virtual and near-peer mentoring process can complement an accessible and non-hierarchical approach to create a robust mentoring program under the oversight of host organizations.
