Summary: There is a growing interest in dissolved gallium (Ga) in natural waters for tracking water masses, but current analytical methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive. In this study, an automated isotope dilution method was developed to determine Ga in seawater using commercially available equipment. The method addressed challenges such as sample volume and pre-concentration, instrumental interferences, sample carryover, sample recovery variability, and improved detection limits, accuracy, and precision. The new automated method showed comparable Ga concentrations to traditional methods but with greater precision and a lower detection limit.

Summary: In this study, droplet ejection from liquid gallium interacting with an inductively coupled hydrogen plasma was observed. The formation of a bubble in the liquid gallium was observed, and the droplet ejection was synchronized with the burst of the bubble. The droplet ejection frequency was found to increase with the ion flux and the liquid gallium temperature, while it decreased with the ion energy.

Summary: In this study, liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry methods were used to comprehensively characterize and quantify thymalfasin-related impurities. The results showed that there are various impurities in thymalfasin standard and commercial materials, with over half of them related to the C-terminal Asn residue. Therefore, it is proposed to modify or replace the C-terminal Asn residue of thymalfasin for new drug research and development.
