Summary: This study developed an oil-spill environmental-vulnerability model to assess the vulnerability of mariculture areas. The results showed spatial variations in vulnerability among different zones, with the Miaodao Archipelago zone being extremely vulnerable. Sensitivity and exposure strongly influenced vulnerability, while adaptability had less effect. The study highlights the importance of enhancing adaptability to reduce vulnerability and benefit marine aquaculture stakeholders.

Summary: The study found a positive correlation between population density and measles incidence, while negative correlations were observed between measles incidence and healthcare condition as well as average routine vaccination rate. The predominant lineage of MeV in Shandong Province, China was formed by genotype H1 strains, and the most recent common ancestor of the N gene of MeV genotype H1 in Shandong traced back to around 1987 with relatively rapid evolution. The genetic diversity of MeV N gene increased before 2005 and remained relatively high and stable.

Summary: This study conducts spatial zoning and assessment of peanut drought risk in Shandong Province using hierarchical analysis, weighted comprehensive evaluation, and ArcGIS spatial analysis. The results show that the high-risk zone for peanut drought is mainly located in the northwestern part and on the Jiaodong Peninsula of Shandong Province, while the high-vulnerability zone is concentrated in the cities of Yantai, Weihai, Linyi, and Rizhao. The research provides a basis for peanut drought disaster prevention and safe peanut production in Shandong Province.

Summary: Urban shrinkage has become a common phenomenon in urban development in China, while rapid urbanization continues. This study investigates the spatiotemporal evolution and influencing factors of city growth and shrinkage at the county scale in Shandong Province, China. The findings reveal an increase and intensification of population- and economy-related shrinkage in the province, with urban growth concentrated along the river and the sea area. The growth and shrinkage patterns of different administrative units in Shandong vary significantly.

Summary: Urban expansion and large-scale intensive agriculture have led to the loss and fragmentation of pollinator habitats, posing a threat to pollination services. This study conducted in Shandong province, China, assessed the spatio-temporal dynamics of pollination services and found a decrease in supply, demand, and supply-demand balance over the past three decades, indicating a risk of pollination imbalances in the province.

Summary: This study aims to assess the risk of drought disasters in Shandong Province. A risk assessment model is developed based on the natural disaster system theory, and the agricultural drought risk from 2012 to 2020 is analyzed. The results show that the high-risk areas of agricultural drought disasters are mainly located in the western part of Shandong Province, while the eastern part has lower risk. The emergency response and recovery capacity in Rizhao and Zaozhuang is found to be low.

Summary: This study analyzes the spatial and temporal evolution of carbon productivity in Shandong Province from 2000 to 2017 and identifies the factors influencing it. The results show that carbon productivity in the province has nearly doubled during the study period and exhibits a spatial distribution characteristic of high in the east and low in the west. GDP per capita and population density have a positive effect on carbon productivity, while factors such as financial institution deposits, local average public finance expenditure, and secondary industry structure have a negative effect.
