Summary: OATP1B3 is expressed in primary and metastatic prostate cancer, and gadoxetate disodium can be used to image prostate cancer and track as a potential biomarker. The study showed enhancement of mCRPC lesions on MRI post-gadoxetate disodium injection, retention over time, and correlation between OATP1B3 expression and contrast enhancement.

Summary: Relative enhancement (RE) in Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI is a reliable method for evaluating simple steatosis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. This study assessed the accuracy of RE in liver MRI and hepatic fat fraction (HFF) in unenhanced MRI and ultrasound for screening pediatric obesity-related non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The results suggest that RE and HFF are non-invasive tools superior to ultrasound for NAFLD screening and follow-up in pediatric obesity.

Summary: The remnant hepatocellular uptake index (rHUI) calculated from EOB-MRI is an accurate predictor of posthepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) after major hepatectomy for biliary malignancy. In patients who underwent preoperative portal vein embolization, rHUI can accurately predict PHLF, while other conventional indices lack this ability.

Summary: This study aimed to develop and validate a scoring system for predicting microvascular invasion (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The results showed that the preoperative MVI score, which integrated five EOB-MRI features and serum alpha-fetoprotein level, accurately predicted MVI and postoperative survival in HCC. This score could be useful in making individualized treatment decisions.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the applicability of the multi-arterial phase imaging technique in gadoxetate disodium-enhanced MRI. By examining 140 patients with suspected liver lesions, it was found that the multi-arterial phase imaging based on CDT-VIBE provided better display rate of the late arterial images and higher image quality compared to the single-artery phase imaging based on VIBE and StarVIBE.

Summary: The study included 130 lesions from 130 patients with a mean age of 36.0 months and a male predominance. The CEUS criterion showed high sensitivity and specificity in predicting hepatoblastoma and hemangioma. The malignancy rates in different CEUS categories and the incidence of hepatoblastoma in specific CEUS categories were highlighted.

Summary: This study evaluated the value of using EC or modified capsule appearance in LI-RADS for diagnosing HCC <= 3.0 cm on Gd-EOB-MRI, and explored the relationship between imaging features and the histological fibrous capsule. The results showed that EC appearance improved the diagnostic sensitivity of LI-RADS for HCC, and considering NEC as an alternative capsule appearance allowed for better inter-reader reliability and comparable diagnostic ability.

Summary: We aimed to demonstrate the clinical feasibility of our comprehensive preoperative MR protocol for the preoperative assessment of living liver donor candidates. CT and MR angiography showed a good agreement, and combining T2-weighted and T1-weighted MR cholangiography techniques detected all biliary anatomical variations. MR volumetry reached an excellent agreement with CT volumetry. Our comprehensive liver donor MR imaging protocol can provide complete information regarding hepatic vascular and biliary anatomies, hepatic parenchymal quality, and liver volume for living liver donor candidates.

Summary: This study aims to determine the utilization of a machine-learning-based strategy for applying ancillary features (AFs) to LI-RADS LR3/4 observations on MRI. Our decision tree algorithm of applying AFs for LR3/4 shows significantly higher AUC, sensitivity, and accuracy, albeit reduced specificity. These findings are applicable in specific circumstances that prioritize early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Summary: This study investigated the diagnostic performance of gadoxetate disodium MRI for predicting complete pathologic necrosis (CPN) in HCC treated with TARE. The results showed that the percentage of tumor necrosis on subtraction and EASL criteria were significant independent predictors of CPN, with image subtraction being considered for assessing HCC response to TARE.

Summary: This case report describes a primary aortic sarcoma in a 62-year-old man, who experienced sudden epigastric and back pain. After stent graft placement, the tumor initially shrank due to tumor infarction, but subsequently regrew. The diagnosis was confirmed through a thoracoscopic biopsy.
