Summary: This paper examines whether foreign CEOs from Anglo-Saxon countries receive higher compensation than other foreign CEOs. The findings reveal a positive association between Anglo-Saxon nationality and CEO compensation, limited to firms in non-culturally and non-ethnically diverse countries. This suggests that firms reward CEOs more for their fit within the company culture.

Summary: This study investigates how schemas and stereotypes about individuals with mental illness shape the transmission of information. The findings suggest that despite efforts to increase awareness of the biological origins of mental illness, stigma surrounding mental illness persists. The study also demonstrates the usefulness of combining cultural cognition with social psychological theories to understand how stereotypes are transmitted through narratives.

Summary: The traditional approach to heritage management focuses on conservation, keeping heritage separate from other elements. However, this has led to a disjointed relationship between heritage and tourism. This study aims to explore the potential social use of intangible cultural heritage in Ecuador through tourism activities, using the San Antonio de Killu Yaku community as a case study. By analyzing the current state of tourism in the community, cultural resources are used to create a thematic heritage space, preserving ancestral manifestations and knowledge amidst globalization.

Summary: The influence of regional and ethnic factors on blood routine indicators was further investigated in this study. The routine blood test results of healthy men from different ethnic groups living in different regions were compared and analyzed. The study found that altitude and ethnicity had different effects on the RBT index values and trends. Significant differences in RBT index values were also observed among different ethnic groups within the same region. The study suggests that the current normal range of RBT in China needs revision and adjustment.

Summary: Integrating disparate and distributed vegetation data is essential for national policy development and management. The National Vegetation Information System (NVIS) in Australia is the only consistent vegetation database nationwide. To address the need for up-to-date vegetation data, a Semi-Automated Hybrid Matcher (SAHM) is proposed, which improves matching accuracy and efficiency compared to existing techniques. The empirical evaluation confirms the effectiveness of SAHM, achieving high accuracy and outperforming state-of-the-art methods.
