Summary: The broad and extensive application of public-private partnership (PPP) and its diverse definitions and experiences have led to a lack of clarity and consensus in academia and industry. This paper proposes conducting a comprehensive review to explore the major practice of PPP and provide a broader understanding of this concept based on research since 1979. The findings reveal the dominant application of PPP as a business model in economic and societal practices, with a focus on economic and organizational management and sustainable development.

Summary: Global trade heavily relies on maritime transport, making it susceptible to security risks. Governments have implemented security programs to address this issue, and this paper explores the interaction between Customs inspection capacity and the incentives offered to foster collaboration between the government and private firms. Using game theory, the study finds that tailored operational incentives should be provided to encourage collaboration, while security incentives benefit all participants. The research also highlights the importance of balancing inspection capacity to avoid discouraging firms from collaborating.

Summary: This study aimed to examine the efficacy of different vitamin D supplementation regimens on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) concentrations among older adults in long-term care (LTC) and determine the minimal dose rate required to achieve sufficient serum concentrations. The results suggest that supplementation with 37.5 μg/d of vitamin D-2or3 or a combination of vitamin D is most likely to achieve sufficient serum 25(OH)D concentrations in older adults in LTC.
