Summary: The study demonstrated that RGFP966, a selective inhibitor of HDAC3, attenuated allergic and inflammatory responses in murine AR by reducing levels and activities of HDAC3. This led to a decrease in the recruitment of eosinophils and mast cells, proliferation of goblet cells, and levels of inflammatory cytokines.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of atomized anti-IL-1β and TNF-α immunoglobulin Yolk inhalation on AQP5, BALF, IL-1β, and TNF-α in lung tissues of guinea pigs with allergic bronchial asthma. The results showed that the treatment group had lower white blood cell and eosinophil counts in BALF, decreased levels of IL-1β and TNF-α, and reduced expression of AQP5 compared to the model group.

Summary: According to a 1:1 ratio, konjac flour and mulberry leaf powder are combined to create a dietary fiber source (KMCP) that has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. The exact effects and mechanisms of KMCP in treating allergic rhinitis are unknown. This study investigated the effects of KMCP on ovalbumin-induced allergic rhinitis and found a decrease in nasal rubbing, sneezing, eosinophil count, histamine levels, OVA-specific immunoglobulin E (OVA-sIgE) levels, and interleukin-4 (IL-4) levels, as well as inhibition of histopathological changes in the nasal mucosa. Additionally, KMCP treatment had a substantial impact on short-chain fatty acid metabolism in the cecum. Overall, this study suggests that KMCP can suppress the inflammatory response in allergic rhinitis and serve as a novel and side effect-free treatment option.

Summary: This study aimed to observe the effects of 4-DAMP on OVA-induced allergic rhinitis (AR) guinea pigs and explore its potential mechanism. The results showed that treatment with 4-DAMP significantly reduced AR symptoms and nasal secretion weights, reversed goblet cell metaplasia, and alleviated eosinophil infiltration. In addition, 4-DAMP decreased the levels of histamine and cytokines in nasal lavage fluid and inhibited the expressions of MUC5AC, MMP9, and EGFR.

Summary: The activation of the inflammasome plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) have been shown to alleviate SLE by suppressing inflammasome activation. This study found that the NLRP3 inflammasome was activated in macrophages from SLE patients and mice, and its activation correlated with disease activity. After MSC transplantation, the severity of SLE was reduced, and NLRP3 inflammasome activation was inhibited. These findings suggest that MSC suppress inflammasome activation and provide a potential therapeutic target for SLE.
