The effect of the high-light at 4 A degrees C on isolated thylakoid membranes with different organization of light-harvesting complex of photosystem II (LHCII) and lipid composition was investigated. Data revealed that the decreased amount of anionic lipids, which is correlated with the increase in the oligomeric form of LHCII stabilized the photosystem II complex against low temperature photoinhibition.
