Summary: This study aimed to compare parental and practitioner acceptance of dental general anesthesia (GA) and identify factors influencing their decision-making. The results showed significant differences in risk evaluation, acceptance, and decision-making between parents and dentists, with influencing factors including parental experience, younger age of the child, lack of knowledge, and indications for GA.

Summary: The restrictions on medical students' clinical education during the COVID-19 pandemic have negatively impacted their professional readiness and training duration. However, with extensive protective measures and high vaccination rates, the prevalence of COVID-19 among students is significantly lower compared to their peers in the general population.

Summary: Difficulties with pain-specific and general emotion regulation have negative impacts on pain outcomes. A study on adults with chronic pain identified four groups with different emotion regulation profiles and found that those with pain-specific and general ER difficulties had the worst outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of individualizing pain psychology treatment based on emotion regulation strengths and difficulties.

Summary: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is a widely studied and applied technique in medical practice for various applications. It is gaining increasing interest in dental medicine due to its non-invasiveness, low cost, and safe qualities, as well as its proven regenerative biostimulating effects. However, successful ESWT treatment still requires careful consideration of targeted tissues and delivery parameters.

Summary: The study demonstrated comparable effectiveness of intraligamentary anesthesia and conventional inferior alveolar nerve block in pain control during routine dental treatment of mandibular posterior teeth. However, intraligamentary anesthesia showed significantly less pain during injection. No major postoperative complications were observed in both groups.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the prevalence of pain and the condition of pain management in a Chinese general hospital 10 years ago and in 2021. The results showed a decrease in pain prevalence and the proportion of moderate to severe pain in 2021. Six indicators of pain management outcomes also significantly improved, including an increase in the use of painkillers and multiple analgesics, and an increase in the percentage of patients receiving pain information and actively reporting pain. The quality of pain management improved greatly, but postoperative pain of different intensities is still common, and it is recommended that hospitals implement perioperative multimodal analgesia strategies to reduce the incidence of postoperative pain.

Summary: This cross-sectional study revealed significant associations between psychological well-being and temporomandibular disorder (TMD) symptoms, showing that environmental mastery can decrease the likelihood of pain-related and intra-articular TMD symptoms, while overall psychological distress and anxiety predicted the presence of pain-related and intra-articular/combined TMD symptoms.

Summary: Acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) is influenced by individual psychological factors. Introverts have a more positive attitude towards AI, while conscientiousness and agreeableness are associated with forgiving attitudes towards AI's negative aspects. Higher corporate distrust is linked to negative attitudes towards AI, while higher general trust is associated with positive views of AI's benefits. The dissociation between general trust and corporate distrust reflects the public's attributions of the benefits and drawbacks of AI.

Summary: This study provides a general overview of the current research on COVID-19, including interaction mechanisms between SARS-CoV-2 and the host, treatment protocols, and vaccine immunization findings. The study reveals that the virus enters cells by binding with the host through Spike proteins, and different treatment protocols and vaccines have been effective in reducing mortality rates. However, the efficacy of vaccines varies significantly for the latest SARS-CoV-2 variants.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate how a proper treatment of myofascial pain can improve the quality of life for patients. Through dividing the patients into two groups, each receiving four months of gnathological therapy and undergoing pain assessment and magnetic resonance imaging, the study found that the treatment significantly reduced pain in the patients, regardless of any changes in the temporomandibular joint.
