Summary: This study evaluated the operational status of twenty-six biofilter facilities across nine cities in Sweden, revealing issues such as consistent soil media composition, low hydraulic conductivity, and insufficient ponding volume in some facilities. Poor pre-treatment stages and sediment accumulation were identified as primary causes for operational problems. Suggestions for addressing these design and maintenance issues were also provided.

Summary: This study examines and compares attitudes toward patient aggression in psychiatric hospitals from the perspectives of nurses, patients, and informal caregivers, and identifies factors associated with these attitudes. Nurses have more negative and less tolerant perceptions toward aggression compared to patients and informal caregivers. The study suggests the need for targeted training for nursing staff, aggression management rehabilitation programs for patients, and peer-support programs for informal caregivers focused on patient aggression.

Summary: A study investigated nurses' self-reported sterility precautions during indwelling urinary catheterization in two acute-care hospitals with different local guidelines. The findings showed that only 55-74% of nurses practiced measures to ensure sterility of the catheter, with adherence to guidelines associated with using sterile equipment and drapes. Healthcare-settings should focus on education and training to ensure proper sterile insertion of urinary catheters.
