Summary: This paper focuses on construction readiness assessment in the construction industry and presents a comprehensive framework comprising 228 binary factors to differentiate construction-ready from construction-not-ready projects. By weighting factors related to engineering, project team, and planning, a construction readiness score (CRS) is computed to objectively assess project readiness. The accuracy and applicability of the assessment model were validated with data from 10 additional projects, demonstrating its effectiveness in objectively evaluating construction readiness and improving overall productivity and project performance.

Summary: This study developed a prototype tool for an early infection warning service using wearable physiological monitoring and predictive models. The tool delivers continuously updated scores of infection risk for SARS-CoV-2 and showed the feasibility of real-time risk prediction. Data from 9381 Department of Defense personnel wearing Garmin and Oura devices were used, with 491 COVID-19 positive cases identified. The predictive algorithm had an AUC of 0.82 in identifying infection before diagnostic testing.

Summary: Despite extensive research and development in lean construction, sustained lean transformation remains uncommon. This study aims to identify the factors necessary for successful lean transformation in construction organizations. Utilizing a mixed methods approach, 73 factors were initially identified and then validated by a team of lean experts. These factors were ranked based on importance, with support from top management, understanding customer requirements, team-working emphasis, critical data analysis, and constraint removal identified as the top-ranking lean readiness factors. This study opens up new research directions for evaluating lean readiness and ensuring the sustained lean transformation of construction organizations.

Summary: New requirements have emerged for terminal production and operation due to the increase in container terminal throughput. Traditional terminals' manufacturing capabilities are insufficient to meet the expanding service needs. By constructing a digital twin yard for container terminals, production capacity can be effectively improved and the production operation process can be optimized. This paper constructs a digital twin yard system for container terminals, consisting of physical and virtual spaces, data, services, and intelligent agents. The paper focuses on the core technologies of digital twin yards and uses the container delivery and loading process as an example to address production bottlenecks in the yard, resulting in improved terminal production efficiency to some extent.
