One of the most significant competitive strategies for organizations is sustainable supply chain management (SSCM). The vital part in the administration of a sustainable supply chain is the sustainable supplier selection, which is a multi-criteria decision-making issue, including many conflicting criteria. The valuation and selection of sustainable suppliers are difficult problems due to vague, inconsistent and imprecise knowledge of decision makers. In the literature on supply chain management for measuring green performance, the requirement for methodological analysis of how sustainable variables affect each other, and how to consider vague, imprecise and inconsistent knowledge, is still unresolved. This research provides an incorporated multi-criteria decision-making procedure for sustainable supplier selection problems (SSSPs). An integrated framework is presented via interval-valued neutrosophic sets to deal with vague, imprecise and inconsistent information that exists usually in real world. The analytic network process (ANP) is employed to calculate weights of selected criteria by considering their interdependencies. For ranking alternatives and avoiding additional comparisons of analytic network processes, the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is used. The proposed framework is turned to account for analyzing and selecting the optimal supplier. An actual case study of a dairy company in Egypt is examined within the proposed framework. Comparison with other existing methods is implemented to confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach.

Ranking of single-valued neutrosophic numbers through the index of optimism and its reasonable properties

Rituparna Chutia, Florentin Smarandache

Summary: This paper introduces an innovative method for ranking neutrosophic numbers based on the values and ambiguity of a single-valued neutrosophic number. The method involves a convex combination of truth-membership function value and ambiguity with the sum of values and ambiguities of other membership functions, resulting in different levels of optimism for decision-makers. The approach considers the contributions from different membership functions and aims to rank both single-valued neutrosophic numbers and their corresponding images consistently.

Spectrum of Superhypergraphs via Flows

Mohammad Hamidi, Florentin Smarandache, Elham Davneshvar

Summary: This paper introduces the concept of n-superhypergraphs and novel concepts such as supervertices, superedges, and superhypergraph via the concept of flow. It computes the number of superedges in superhypergraphs and derives the number of all superhypergraphs on any nonempty set based on superedges and partitions. The paper also introduces the incidence matrix and computes the characteristic polynomial for the incidence matrix to obtain the spectrum of superhypergraphs.

Time-Leveled Hypersoft Matrix, Level Cuts, Operators, and COVID-19 Collective Patient Health State Ranking Model

Shazia Rana, Muhammad Saeed, Badria Almaz Ali Yousif, Florentin Smarandache, Hamiden Abd El-Wahed Khalifa

Summary: This article introduces the formulation of higher dimensional mathematical structures in the extended fuzzy set theory that incorporates time as a fundamental source of variation. It presents the unique plithogenic crisp time-leveled hypersoft-matrix (PCTLHS matrix) model for organizing and classifying higher dimensional information based on specific time levels. The concept of top view and level cuts are described to focus on specific pieces of information while allowing variation in others. The model is then applied to organize and classify the states of patients with COVID-19, providing a detailed example.

Summary: Decision-making is a systematic process that provides optimal solutions by evaluating feasible alternatives. This paper introduces a Temporal Complex neutrosophic set (TCNS) and proposes a TCNS-ANP-TOPSIS model for multi-criteria decision-making. The model extends existing methods to incorporate different time intervals and is demonstrated through a case study in choosing a tourist destination. Comparative analysis shows the effectiveness and consistency of the proposed model.

Chi-square test for imprecise data in consistency table

Muhammad Aslam, Florentin Smarandache

Summary: In this paper, a neutrosophic chi-square-test for consistency is proposed, incorporating neutrosophic statistics, to analyze imprecise data. The performance of the proposed test is evaluated through a comparative analysis with the traditional chi-square-test based on classical statistics. The application of the proposed test is illustrated with a numerical example, showcasing its potential benefits in dealing with imprecise data. The proposed neutrosophic chi-square-test for consistency is expected to outperform its classical counterpart, contributing significantly to the field of statistical analysis.

Summary: This article presents an extension of the Integrated Simple Weighted Sum Product (WISP) method customized for single-valued neutrosophic numbers. The extension takes advantage of the application of neutrosophic sets in solving complex decision-making problems and problems related to assessments, prediction uncertainty, and imprecision. The article also proposes an adapted questionnaire and linguistic variables for collecting respondents' attitudes using single-valued neutrosophic numbers more simply and accurately. Additionally, a method for deneutrosophication is proposed, which transforms a single-valued neutrosophic number into a crisp number. The use and characteristics of this improvement are illustrated through an example of evaluating rural tourist tours.
