Summary: High expression of CD27-AS1 in AML is associated with shorter overall survival time, its downregulation can inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of AML cells, while overexpression enhances the malignant phenotype. CD27-AS1 regulates the growth of AML cells through the miR-224-5p/PBX3/MAPK signaling pathway.

Summary: This study reveals that Serine-arginine rich splicing factor 3 (SRSF3) plays a crucial role in the processing of miR-17-92 cluster miRNAs in pluripotent and cancer cells. SRSF3 binding to CNNC motifs downstream of Drosha cleavage sites is required for efficient processing of the cluster. The interaction between SRSF3 and miR-17-92 results in changes in RNA structure and an increase in miR-17 and miR-20a levels, promoting self-renewal and contributing to colorectal cancer pathogenesis.

Summary: The study investigated the expression and function of SRSF3 in cervical cancer and found that SRSF3 promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of cervical cancer by regulating the variable splicing of DDX5. This study reveals the oncogenic role of SRSF3 in cervical cancer and emphasizes the importance of the SRSF3-DDX5-AKT axis in tumorigenesis.

Summary: The study demonstrates that miR-4443 and miR-4488 promote enhanced migratory and invasive phenotypes in drug-resistant melanoma cells. Mechanistically, the intermediate filament nestin has been identified as a molecular target of both oncomiRs. Finally, nestin levels have been shown to predict the response to treatment in melanoma patients, suggesting potential for developing miRNA-targeted therapies and identifying novel biomarkers for guiding clinical decisions.

Summary: In this study, the dysregulation and functional role of SRSF3 and AMOTL1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) were investigated. The upregulation of SRSF3 was found to be associated with worse prognosis in NPC. It was further revealed that SRSF3 promotes the generation of the long isoform of AMOTL1 (AMOTL1-L), which promotes NPC cell proliferation and migration by interacting with YAP1 and promoting nucleus translocation. These findings suggest that the SRSF3/AMOTL1 axis could serve as potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for NPC.

Summary: This study found that miR-224-5p can be transferred between SW620 cells and CCD 841 CoN cells via exosomes. Overexpression of miR-224-5p in exosomes promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion while inhibiting oxidative stress in SW620 cells. Exosomal miR-224-5p also downregulates CMTM4 expression in CCD 841 CoN cells and enhances tumor growth in vivo.

Summary: During seizure-induced hippocampal necroptosis, an increase in truncated neogenin levels and a decrease in full-length neogenin levels were observed, along with an upregulation of phosphorylation of mixed lineage kinase domain-like pseudokinase. Treatment with DAPT can prevent neogenin truncation and protect neurons from NMDA-induced death.
