Summary: The severity of dental caries is associated with the impact on Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) in preschool children, with higher severity levels leading to greater impact. Children with carious lesions into dentine or with pulpally-involved or abscessed teeth had poorer OHRQoL than children without such lesions.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version (CARIES-QC/T) of the CARIES-QC questionnaire in different age groups, and to create scales specific to these age groups. Through factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, modified CARIES-QC/T scales were developed for the age groups of 5-7, 8-10, and 11-14. The results suggest that some questions on the CARIES-QC/T scale should be excluded, but the modified scales can be used in the specified age groups.

Summary: This study in Tanzania examined the prevalence of Early Childhood Caries (ECC), risk factors, and nutritional status among 3-5-year-old children. The results showed a significant negative relationship between ECC and children's anthropometric measures, and a positive relationship with sugar exposure and poor oral hygiene. Controlling risk factors could help reduce the occurrence of ECC and promote the health of well-nourished children.
