Summary: The study examined the expression of inflammation-related miRs bound to HDLs in breast cancer patients and controls. It was found that HDL from breast cancer patients had higher anti-inflammatory activity compared to controls, especially in advanced stages of the disease. The miRs 223-3p and 375-3p in HDLs were significantly higher in breast cancer patients and showed high discriminatory power between breast cancer and controls.

Summary: Chronic allograft dysfunction (CAD) is a major condition affecting long-term kidney graft survival. In this study, the correlation between plasma miR-21 and the severity of CAD was investigated. RNA sequencing was performed and differentially expressed miRNAs in CAD were identified. MiR-21-5p, miR-20a-5p, and miR-101-3p were found to be associated with the TGF-beta pathway and CAD. These findings may lead to the development of early prediction miRNA biomarkers and therapeutic tools for CAD in the field of kidney transplantation.

Summary: This study investigates the role and mechanism of miR-10a-3p in adipose inflammation and adipogenesis using ex vivo and in vitro approaches. The findings suggest that miR-10a-3p mimic reduces the expression of inflammatory cells and cytokines, and induces the expression of FoxP3 in adipose tissue. In vitro experiments also show that miR-10a-3p mimic reduces the expression of inflammatory genes and lipid accumulation. This study provides a new opportunity for the development of miR-10a-3p as a novel therapeutic for adipose inflammation and its associated metabolic disorders.

Summary: The study investigated the potential of MSC-derived exosomes containing miR-542-3p in preventing ischemia-induced inflammatory response in glial cells by targeting TLR4. The results showed a decrease in miR-542-3p and an increase in TLR4 in MCAO mice, and overexpression of miR-542-3p alleviated cell apoptosis and inflammation induced by OGD. The delivery of exosome-miR-21-3p from MSCs also showed potential in relieving cerebral injury and inflammation caused by MCAO or OGD.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the involvement of selected miRNAs in different stages of periodontitis and their relationship with the levels of inflammatory mediators in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). The results showed that miRNA-103a-3p, miRNA-23a-3p, miRNA-15a-5p, and miRNA-223-3p were significantly upregulated in periodontitis patients, and miRNA-23a-3p, miRNA-103a-3p, and miRNA-423-5p levels differed significantly according to disease stages.

Summary: This study investigates the mechanism behind bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (BMSC-EVs) in controlling inflammation and pyroptosis during acute kidney injury (AKI). It was found that low miR-223-3p and SNRK expression and high HDAC2 expression in peripheral blood were associated with AKI. BMSC-EVs overexpressing miR-223-3p showed a protective effect against AKI by reducing inflammation and pyroptosis.
