Summary: The focus of this study is to investigate factors influencing the continued professional development (CPD) of working librarians through e-learning, challenges encountered for e-learning adoption, and the best practices for designing an efficient e-learning portfolio. The study found that factors such as organizational survival, continuous changes, adoption of emerging technologies, and professional growth encouraged e-learning for CPD. The main challenges for e-learning adoption were identified as technical difficulties, lack of funds, reliance on conventional models, and overwhelming workload. A framework was proposed for building professional expertise among university librarians through effective and efficient e-learning programs.

Summary: This study aimed to identify CPD training needs of pharmacists in Ethiopia through an institution-based cross-sectional study. Findings revealed that most participants held a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and preferred training in Pharmaceutical Logistics and Pharmacy administration. Face-to-face lectures, hybrid training, and on-the-job training were identified as the most convenient delivery methods for CPD courses.

Important steps include needs assessment, policy drafting, financing plan, production of appropriate CPD materials, and evaluation process.

The findings inform teacher education programmes and CPD providers on the current status of physical education CPD in Europe, with the potential to contribute to international and comparative education in this area. The study sets the foundation for developing a CPD network in Europe for sharing practices, engaging in discussions, and collaborative research on CPD practices in physical education.

Summary: This article introduces the method of evaluating CPD programs at the Education and Training Centre for Public Healthcare of the National Medical Centre in South Korea. The study applies the context, input, process, and product (CIPP) model for a comprehensive evaluation of CPD programs. Through the evaluation, the educational needs, barriers, and resources of program recipients are identified, and a program strategy is established based on the evaluation results. The outcomes and impacts of the program are assessed through real-time observation and progress recording. The review committee concludes that the intended change has occurred and decides to maintain the program.

Summary: Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has gained attention in the US pharmacy profession as a potential pathway for ongoing professional development and practice transformation. However, its adoption has remained limited. Recently, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education Board of Directors approved a CPD program accreditation pathway, including principles, guidance, and a credit system. This commentary reviews existing literature on pharmacy CPD, introduces CPD program principles and guidance, and describes the model for awarding CPD units.
