Summary: This study investigated the expression levels of TROP2 in Chinese breast cancer patients and explored its value as a biomarker for patient-tailoring and prognosis. The results showed that TROP2 overexpression was significantly associated with the incidence of TNBC. Additionally, the levels of TROP2 expression were correlated with the therapeutic responses to TROP2-directed ADC drugs.

Summary: High APE1 expression is associated with lymph node metastasis in cervical cancer and linked to epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). APE1 promotes invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer cells, while inhibiting APE1 may suppress EMT. Targeting APE1 redox function could be a novel strategy for inhibiting cervical cancer metastasis.

Summary: In colorectal cancer, low levels of ATF2 are associated with worse prognosis and tumor aggressiveness. TROP2 is identified as a novel inhibitory target gene of ATF2. In vitro studies demonstrated that high levels of TROP2 are critical for cell de-adhesion and increased cell migration. In vivo experiments confirmed that ATF2(KO)/TROP2(high) status promotes tumor invasiveness. Evaluation of ATF2(low)/TROP2(high) expression status may help identify high-risk CRC patients.

Summary: This study aims to clarify the role and underlying molecular pathways of DYNLT3 in breast cancer tumorigenesis. Differential expression of DYNLT3 was detected in breast cancer tissues and cells, showing that DYNLT3 may act as a tumor-promoter in age-associated breast cancer. Knockdown of DYNLT3 suppressed cell growth, migration, and invasion, and induced cell apoptosis, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for breast cancer.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the effect of miR-206 on the growth and metastasis of breast cancer stem cells and clarify the precise mechanism of miR-206 on EVI-1-mediated CALR expression in driving malignant phenotype. The results showed that miR-206 mimics suppressed CALR expression, inhibited the proliferation and metastasis ability of breast cancer stem cells, and induced cellular apoptosis. Over-expression of CALR could effectively attenuate the cytotoxic effect of miR-206. Further studies demonstrated that EVI-1 could be served as a key regulator of miR206-mediated CALR expression.

Summary: This study investigated the role of PTTG1 in the EMT process in seminoma. The results showed that PTTG1 transcriptionally represses E-Cadherin through its cooperation with the transcriptional repressor ZEB1. It also demonstrated that PTTG1 and ZEB1 strongly localize together in the periphery of the tumors. These findings suggest that PTTG1 is a prognostic factor in seminoma clinical management.

Summary: This study reveals the oncogenic effect of CPNE7 in CRC, showing that CPNE7 is significantly up-regulated in CRC patient tissues and cell lines. Inhibition of CPNE7 expression reduces CRC cell growth and invasion, and leads to changes in genes associated with epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). CPNE7 may serve as a potential diagnostic biomarker for CRC patients.

Summary: The study found that mRNA levels of CDH1/2/4/11/12/13 genes were overexpressed in breast cancer cells compared to normal cells and correlated with poor prognosis in breast cancer patients. The high expressions of these genes were significantly associated with cell adhesion, extracellular matrix remodeling, EMT, WNT/beta-catenin, and interleukin-mediated immune responses, suggesting they could be potential biomarkers for breast cancer progression and metastasis.

Summary: The live-streaming industry in China is huge and highly competitive, leading to the formation of "live-streaming guilds" where streamers join forces to improve their rankings on various platforms. This article explores one such guild that operates on the Zhubei platform, revealing how these guilds optimize streamers' performances based on algorithmic parameters disclosed by the platforms. Interestingly, the guilds also manipulate audience reactions by having male workers pose as female streamers to attract generous tipping from straight male viewers.

Summary: With the rapid development of China's economy and improvement of people's living standards, large-scale infrastructure constructions have increased. This study focused on the environmental thermal changes of Beijing Daxing International Airport before and after its construction and operation. The results showed that the urban surface heat island effect in the area significantly increased after the construction and operation of the airport. The random forest classification algorithm was used to analyze the relationship between land types and the urban heat island effect, revealing that the thermal pollution from the airport had a greater impact on ground objects within a range of 7.5 km.

Summary: This study investigated the role of efferocytosis in chronic pancreatitis (CP) and its underlying mechanisms. The findings suggest that impaired efferocytosis and dysregulated phospholipid metabolism contribute to the development of CP. The acinar Atp8b1/LPC pathway, regulated by the transcription factor Bhlha15, plays a protective role in CP. These findings provide potential therapeutic targets for improving current CP therapies.

Summary: The Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is increasingly popular in uncertainty analysis of hydrological simulation. However, the estimation of the constant standard deviation (02) in the approach is subjective, hindering performance improvement. This study investigates the statistical meaning of parameter 02 and develops a new label called Confidence Level of Model (CLM) to interpret it. The MCMC method based on CLM performs well in generating regular posterior distributions and narrow, symmetrical confidence intervals.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the anti-tumor effects and underlying mechanisms of Enzalutamide (ENZ) and Arsenic trioxide (ATO) co-treatment on castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). The combination of ENZ and ATO significantly inhibited cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and induced cell arrest and apoptosis in C4-2B cells. The effects were further verified in subcutaneous tumor models and tissue sections from the xenografts. ENZ combination with ATO synergistically improved the therapeutic effects and suppressed CRPC progression through regulation of the ATR-CHEK1-CDC25C pathway.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of board culture on bank innovation and explores the mechanisms involved. Using the cultural context of the East and state-owned bank attributes, data from China's A-share listed banks between 2003 and 2018 were analyzed. Results indicate that indicators of masculinity, indulgence, and cultural diversity are positively correlated with bank innovation, while power distance and uncertainty avoidance are negatively correlated. Further analysis reveals that the impact of Oriental culture on bank innovation is mediated by human capital investment, efficiency, and risk-taking. The findings remain robust after controlling for endogenous issues and factors such as Confucian culture.
