Summary: Severe acute lung injury (ALI) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been identified as potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for ALI. This study reveals a significant role for the miR-762/NFIX pathway in the pathogenesis of ALI, suggesting that targeting this pathway could be beneficial for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of ALI.

Summary: The study investigated the protective effect of Fingolimod in a rat model of acute lung injury induced by LPS, showing inhibition of NF-kappa B activation, reduction of inflammatory cytokines, and improvement in lung tissue injury. These results suggest a promising therapeutic potential for Fingolimod in LPS-induced ALI by regulating the inflammatory pathway and barrier dysfunction of alveolar capillaries.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the potential of pteryxin in alleviating LPS-induced lung injury and explore the underlying mechanism. The results indicated that pteryxin effectively reduced the severity of lung injury by suppressing the MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway and NLRP3 inflammasome activation.

Summary: This study investigated the anti-inflammatory mechanism of Schisandrin B (Sch B) in macrophages and an animal model of acute lung injury (ALI) and found that Sch B directly binds to MyD88 to regulate inflammatory responses and inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors. The study suggests that Sch B has therapeutic potential for ALI and other MyD88-dependent inflammatory diseases.

Summary: This study evaluated the anti-inflammatory effects of Angiopteris cochinchinensis de Vriese extract (Ac-EE) on acute lung injury (ALI) and demonstrated its potential as an effective botanical drug. Ac-EE reduced nitric oxide production and inhibited the production of proinflammatory mediators and cytokines. It also showed protective effects on lung tissue by reducing edema and lung injury.

Summary: In this study, the researchers investigated the mechanism of curcumin in alleviating lung damage induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in ducks. The results showed that dietary supplementation of curcumin significantly relieved oxidation stress and inflammation parameters in the lungs of ducks. The remission may be attributed to the activation of the nuclear erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-antioxidant reaction element (ARE) and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) signaling pathways. This study provides insights into the potential application of curcumin in waterfowl feed.
