Luminescent iodido copper(l) coordination polymers [Cu2I2(PPh3)(2)(mu-bpa)(n) and [Cu2I2(PPh3)(2)(mu-bpe)](n) were synthesized and their luminescent properties were clarified (bpa: bis(4-pyridyl)ethane, bpe: transbis(4-pyridyl)ethylene). By taking advantage of their isomorphous relation, mixed-ligand luminescent coordination polymers [Cu2I2(PPh3)(2)(bPa)((1-x))(bPe)(x)](n) were prepared as solid solutions with various ratio of bpa:bpe. The measurements of their photophysical properties revealed that the mixed-ligand complexes are antenna materials where the bpa and bpe sites serve as the donor and the acceptor sites, respectively.
