Summary: This study found that miR-199a-5p-mediated BCAM deficiency inhibits trophoblast proliferation, migration, and invasion by suppressing PIK3R6/p-STAT3 signaling, leading to poor placentation and preeclampsia-like phenotypes.

Summary: This study demonstrates that dihydromyricetin (DHM) can regulate the abnormal functions of myofibroblasts and alleviate pulmonary fibrosis. DHM exerts its effects by modulating the STAT3/p-STAT3/GLUT1 signaling pathway, making it a potential candidate for IPF treatment.

Summary: In this study, the effects of TSN on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells were investigated. TSN showed significant inhibition of cell proliferation and promotion of apoptosis in OSCC cells. It also downregulated the STAT3 pathway and reduced tumor size in an OSCC PDX model without obvious toxicity.

Summary: Preeclampsia (PE) is a complication associated with significant health implications for the fetus and mother. Lung disease development has been found to be correlated with PE. This study investigates the role of Gas6/AXL signaling in the maternal lung during PE development using a rat model. The findings suggest that Gas6 signaling is capable of inducing PE and is associated with increased lung inflammation.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the protective role of Sceptridium ternatum in pulmonary fibrosis and the underlying mechanisms. The results showed that S. ternatum prevented pulmonary fibrosis by inhibiting the activation of lung fibroblasts and ECM deposition, targeting the SETBD1/STAT3/p-STAT3 pathway. This may be a potential therapeutic agent for pulmonary fibrosis.

Summary: This study aimed to observe the effect of astragalus injection on rats with preeclampsia. The results showed that astragalus injection can effectively inhibit the expression of sFlt-1, NFAT-5, and NF-kappa B and enhance the expression of PlGF and MMP-9 in the placental tissue of rats with preeclampsia. This may be the mechanism of preeclampsia treatment.

Summary: This study compared three surgical procedures for reducing uteroplacental perfusion pressure and found that the ovarian artery ligation group and the simultaneous ligation of the uterine and ovarian arteries distal to the ovarian branches group could successfully mimic the pathophysiological traits of preeclampsia. The uterine artery ligation group did not succeed in establishing the model. In the ovarian artery ligation group and the simultaneous ligation of the uterine and ovarian arteries distal to the ovarian branches group, autophagy, apoptosis, and synthesis of unsaturated fatty acids were increased, while inflammation showed no significant difference.

Summary: The study found that Wnt signaling pathway genes in preeclamptic placentas were globally hypermethylated and identified WNT3 as the most significantly differentially expressed gene. WNT3 was highly expressed in preeclamptic placentas and counteracted the low activation state of the Wnt pathway through methylation modification.
