Summary: By innovatively constructing tailored interfacial intermolecular interaction and entanglement between the two phases of the PLA/POE blend through reactive melt blending, the PLA/GPOE-MPOE blend exhibited enhanced complex viscosity/storage modulus, lower tan delta values, and significant strain-hardening behavior compared to neat PLA and directly blended PLA/POE blends. This enhancement was attributed to the increased molecular entanglement between the long-branched chains, leading to improved stretching ability during biaxial stretching of the blend, resulting in uniform films with higher tensile strength and elongation at break.

Summary: The polymeric blend films filled with potassium permanganate exhibit modified molecular structure at higher filler levels, involving conversion of hydroxyl groups into ketones. Thermal stability of the filled samples increases with multiple stages of degradation observed at certain filler levels. The incorporation of KMnO4 in PVA-PVP blend leads to increased amorphousness and desirable properties for solid polymeric electrolytes with filler levels below 1.5 mass%.

Summary: In this study, a compatible blend of 85 wt% polylactic acid and 15 wt% poly(ethylene vinyl acetate) (PLA85/EVA15) was plasticized with different amounts of Triacetin (TRI). The thermal, tensile, rheological, antifungal, and morphological properties were investigated. The results showed improved thermal stability and increased crystallinity with increasing TRI content. The presence of 15 wt% TRI reduced the tensile strength but significantly improved the toughness. PLA85/EVA15-TRI25 exhibited comparable thermal properties and tensile strength but higher elongation at break compared to PLA80/TRI20, highlighting the role of EVA in enhancing the plasticized PLA properties. Antifungal ability against Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., and Fusarium sp. improved with increasing TRI amount.

Summary: The study shows that the laser scan angle and oxygen gas interaction have significant effects on the mechanical properties of SLS aluminum-filled polyamide-12 specimens, while the different process parameters do not cause changes in the morphology and internal structure of the samples. The mechanical properties of the specimens exhibit different characteristics under different failure mechanisms.

Summary: This study prepared wheat bran arabinoxylans-soy protein isolate emulsion-filled gels with different oil contents and investigated their rheological, textural, water-holding capacity, and microstructural properties. The results showed that the properties of the emulsion-filled gels were consistent with rheological analysis, and adjusting the oil droplet concentration could modify the filling emulsion performance.

Summary: Temperature plays a crucial role in determining the structures and properties of polymers during processing, but the influence of processing temperature on similar-structured polymer blends has been rarely investigated. This study explores the impact of processing temperature on crystallization, phase morphology, and tensile behavior of a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)/ethylene-octene copolymer (EOC) blend with similar-structured components. The results reveal that the final processing temperature significantly influences the phase morphology and yield stress of the material, indicating the potential for tailored properties in LLDPE-based products.

Summary: The study found that the surface area of fillers significantly influences the rheological behavior of star-shaped SSBR/silica compounds, with different surface area silicas showing distinct characteristics in LAOS and steady shear behavior. The Cox-Merz rule is valid for SBR gum but not for filled compounds. The Philippoff approach, correlating complex viscosity with shear rate amplitude and steady shear viscosity, has important implications for predicting processing behavior in the rubber industry.
