This paper focuses on the development and characterization of an ultrafast passively mode-locked fiber laser using InN-bulk as semiconductor saturable absorber mirror. The developed laser is polarization independent, and delivers a stable output emission of ultrashort pulses with time-width as short as 241 fs, centered at 1.5 mu m, with 42 kW peak power.
