Summary: This study aims to identify the factors of interpersonal interaction and the mediating effect of relationship quality on consumers' purchase intention in s-commerce. The results show that interpersonal interaction factors of both online vendors and online recommenders positively influence swift guanxi and initial trust between consumers and online vendors. Initial trust partially mediates between interpersonal interaction factors and purchase intention, while swift guanxi does not mediate the relationship between perceived similarity of online recommenders and purchase intention.

Summary: This study examined the factors influencing social commerce purchase and recommendation intentions in the context of swift guanxi. Data analysis using Smart PLS 3.0 and structural equation modeling technique revealed that both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly determined the recommendation and social commerce purchase intentions. Additionally, eWOM also emerged as a significant predictor for both social commerce purchase and recommendation intentions. Interestingly, trust in social network sites was not found to have a significant influence on social commerce purchase and recommendation intentions. Furthermore, mutual understanding and relationship harmony were identified as predictors for social commerce purchase and recommendation intentions.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of three uncertainty reduction strategies, namely situational normality, perceived effectiveness of social commerce institutional mechanisms (PESIM), and swift guanxi, on perceived uncertainty in social commerce. The findings suggest that these strategies significantly reduce perceived uncertainty, and PESIM moderates the relationships between situational normality and perceived uncertainty, as well as swift guanxi and perceived uncertainty. Furthermore, perceived uncertainty is found to have a negative effect on purchase intention, which in turn positively affects purchase behavior.

Summary: Bribery, an illegal conspiracy between two transactional parties, has a wide range of destructive effects on society. This study investigates the role of Guanxi (interpersonal relationships) in influencing individuals, particularly government officials, in accepting bribes. The findings reveal that both direct and indirect Guanxi contribute to individuals' acceptance of bribes, but the mechanisms behind them differ. Direct Guanxi encourages acceptance of bribes due to trust, responsibility, and obligation, while indirect Guanxi is driven solely by trust. This study provides new insights into the lubricant role of relationships in corruption, expanding the understanding of bribery and offering recommendations to combat corruption.

Summary: The present study found that individuals with Internet addiction disorder (IAD) have decreased slow-wave activity, particularly in the frontal areas, as indicated by the analysis of resting-state electroencephalography (EEG). Furthermore, the slow-wave activities in the frontal areas were correlated with the commission error rate in the Go/NoGo task in the IAD group. These findings suggest that the frontal slow-wave EEG activity may serve as a neurophysiological marker of IAD, providing insights into the underlying neural mechanisms of inhibitory control deficits and potential interventions.

Summary: Previous research has often assumed that users' attitudes towards social networking site (SNS) use can be positioned on a bipolar continuum from negative to positive orientation. However, recent findings suggest that this linear approach is too simplistic to capture the intricacies of SNS use patterns. This paper draws on ambivalence literature to propose that users can have both positive and negative orientations towards SNS use. The authors develop typologies of attitudinal and behavioral responses to ambivalence and test their hypotheses using data from ambivalent SNS users. The findings validate the typologies and offer insights into the possible outcomes of users' attitudinal responses to ambivalence in terms of SNS use patterns.
