Summary: This study aimed to classify the isolate MGRD01-02(T) recovered from an acidic hot spring in Indonesia and assigned it to a new species, Actinospica acidithermotolerans sp. nov. The phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed its close relationship with Actinospica acidiphila, Actinospica robiniae, and Actinospica durhamensis. Further analysis of morphological and chemotaxonomic data confirmed its assignment to the genus Actinospica. Whole-genome sequence analysis demonstrated the isolate's genome size and identified potential biosynthetic gene clusters for producing antibiotics.
