Summary: This study demonstrates that GACAT3 acts as an oncogene in ESCC by interacting with miR-149 to promote tumor progression, and also functions as a ceRNA to modulate FOXM1 expression. These findings suggest that GACAT3 may serve as a potential therapeutic target in ESCC.

Summary: Recent studies have highlighted the crucial role of aberrant regulatory interactions in driving malignant phenotypes of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. Specifically, the long noncoding RNA DLX6-AS1 was shown to promote HCC progression by modulating the miR-513c/Cul4A/ANXA10 axis, affecting cell viability, migration, invasion, and apoptosis. Silencing DLX6-AS1 could inhibit HCC development and provide potential therapeutic targets for HCC treatment.

Summary: The study discovered that the overexpression of lncRNA RP11-465B22.8 in EC is associated with poor survival in patients, by sponging miR-765 to increase the expression of KLK4, promoting proliferation, migration, and invasion of EC cells, and being transferred from EC cells to macrophages via exosomes to induce cell migration and invasion.

Summary: The study found that in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, the long noncoding RNA SNHG17 is upregulated and its knockdown can inhibit tumor cell activities such as proliferation, invasion, and metastasis. Additionally, SNHG17 interacts with miR-338-3p to regulate the expression of SOX4 gene. These molecular interactions may serve as potential therapeutic targets for ESCC.

Summary: High expression of lncRNA CTBP1-DT in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is associated with poor prognosis and promotes malignant biological behaviour of cancer cells by competitively binding to miR-188-5p to protect MAP3K3 from degradation. These findings suggest that lncRNA CTBP1-DT may serve as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for HGSOC progression.

Summary: This study identified MIAT as a ceRNA in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) that inhibits EZH2 expression via the miR-150/EZH2 pathway, promoting cell invasion. MIAT may serve as a valuable prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for PTC.

Summary: SOX2OT is an up-regulated oncogene in CRC, promoting cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. It acts as a competing endogenous RNA to upregulate SOX5 by sponging miR-194-5p, thus affecting tumorgenesis of CRC.

Summary: Wnt signaling induces a splicing switch of lncRNA-DGCR5, leading to the generation of a short variant (DGCR5-S) that is associated with poor prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). DGCR5-S inhibits TTP's anti-inflammatory activity by protecting it from PP2A-mediated dephosphorylation, thereby promoting tumor-promoting inflammation. Synthetic splice-switching oligonucleotides (SSOs) disrupt the splicing switch of DGCR5 and effectively suppress ESCC tumor growth.

Summary: This study found that LncRNA JPX is highly expressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and promotes ESCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion through the miR-516b-5p/VEGFA pathway. This highlights the potential of JPX as a biomarker and therapeutic target for ESCC.

Summary: DLX6-AS1 regulates cisplatin sensitivity of lung squamous cell carcinoma cells through the miR-181a-5p/miR-382-5p/CELF1 axis, playing a key role in promoting secondary cisplatin resistance. Targeting DLX6-AS1 may be a novel approach to overcome cisplatin resistance in lung squamous cell carcinoma.

Summary: The RNA component RMRP is upregulated in ESCC and is associated with lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, and poor prognosis in ESCC patients. RMRP promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of ESCC cells through regulation of the miR-613/NRP2 axis, providing a potential target for ESCC treatment.

Summary: This study identified several lncRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers for papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) and developed a nomogram model to predict lymph node metastasis (LN) in PTC patients. Additionally, a pathway involving lncMPEG1-1:1/miR-766-5p was discovered to be associated with thyroid cancer progression.

Summary: This study revealed that the downregulation of lncRNA-LET is associated with poor prognosis in ESCC patients, and the upregulation of lncRNA-LET can reduce cell viability. In vivo experiments demonstrated that increased lncRNA-LET has significant inhibitory effects on tumor growth. Additionally, the effects of miR-106b-5p or miR-93-5p and SOCS4 on ESCC are related to the feedback of lncRNA-LET.
