The water-gas shift (WGS) reaction is a key step in upgrading CO-containing gases into high-purity hydrogen. Very recently in Science, Yao et al. reported atomic-layered Au clusters on alpha-MoC as an interfacial catalyst, which exhibited outstanding WGS activity at low temperatures.
