Well-defined CoxCeO2+x-MoS2 nanotube hybrids were first obtained by a facile solvothermal method. The Ce0.3Co0.7Ox-MoS2 nanohybrids exhibited superior performance for the hydrogen evolution reaction due to synergistic effects between CoxCeO2+x and MoS2, which significantly reduced the charge-transfer impedance and increased the active sites.
