Summary: Post-stroke depression is a common disorder that can have severe negative consequences and even increase mortality. Despite awareness of its adverse impacts, understanding the exact mechanisms of its occurrence remains challenging. Current treatment options have limited effectiveness, highlighting the need for further research into new approaches.

Summary: How can creativity foster sustainability? This question highlights the lack of creativity in current sustainability solutions and emphasizes the need for creativity to discover new paths towards sustainability. Through an integrative review of literature and analysis of journal articles, this study identifies four levels of creativity for sustainability: individual, community, organizational, and institutional. It also establishes indicators for each level.

Summary: This article reviews the treatment methods for two common types of Achilles tendinopathy (AT). For midportion AT, eccentric exercise, isotonic exercise, and acupuncture showed the best effects. For insertional AT, extracorporeal shockwave therapy and eccentric exercise had the best outcomes. Combining different treatment methods can further improve pain, function, and patient satisfaction.

Summary: Stroke is a major cause of adult disability, but only a small percentage of patients receive hyperacute revascularization procedures, even in well-resourced health systems. Early exercise after stroke can have significant long-term consequences for brain repair, but clinicians lack guidelines to prescribe activity. This article provides a summary of relevant concepts, identifies gaps, and proposes an approach to prescribing safe and meaningful activity for all stroke patients, using thrombectomy-eligible patients as an example.

Summary: This article presents a systematic review on the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on post-stroke depression (PSD). The findings suggest that tDCS shows promise in the treatment of PSD and is also effective for patients with aphasia or central post-stroke pain. However, more robust clinical trials are needed to establish an optimal stimulation protocol.

Summary: The review of cortical neurophysiological changes in CPSP patients revealed limitations such as heterogeneity in parameter measurements, lack of a control group without pain, and absence of consistent and validated diagnosis criteria. Despite these limitations, the dataset provides evidence for improving understanding of CPSP physiopathology and supports the development of a diagnostic framework to enhance future research on somatosensory sequelae following stroke.

Summary: Early SSRI therapy is associated with a reduced risk of post-stroke depression, but increases the risk of bone fracture and nausea. Future research should focus on identifying high-risk individuals to improve the risk-benefit assessment of this therapy in clinical practice.

Summary: The combination of acupuncture with fluoxetine or paroxetine was the most effective treatment for post-stroke depression at week 4, while the combination of rTMS with paroxetine had the greatest amount of change at week 8. Medication combined with adjuvant therapy was also superior in terms of the percentage of patients with significant Hamilton depression scale changes.

Summary: In this study, an umbrella review of therapies for post-stroke depression (PSD) was conducted. The results showed that 11 treatment methods, including high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (HfrTMS) and sertraline, were effective in improving the symptoms of depression in PSD patients. Additionally, HfrTMS and sertraline may have an impact on activities of daily living or neurologic function.

Summary: This study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of integrative medicine for treating post-stroke depression (PSD) and develop effective clinical treatment schemes. Participants will receive a combination of traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, and rehabilitation, and their outcomes will be evaluated using various assessment scales. The study will provide evidence-based clinical reference for the future standardization of PSD treatment.

Summary: This study systematically identified and evaluated published economic evaluations on nonpharmacological interventions for drug-resistant epilepsy. The researchers applied specific criteria to search for relevant studies and assessed their quality. The study found that epilepsy surgery, vagus nerve stimulation, and responsive neurostimulation are cost-effective treatments for adults, while the cost-effectiveness of epilepsy surgery in children and the use of ketogenic diet were inconclusive.

Summary: This integrative literature review examined the application and benefits of coaching practice in nursing. The findings revealed that coaching has benefits to individual performance, role effectiveness, role transitions, and confidence. It also enhances nursing leadership, performance improvement, and support for staff. There is a need for further research on the conceptual definition of coaching in nursing and its application in both clinical and managerial settings.

Summary: This study aimed to identify and analyze knowledge measurement tools for kidney transplantation (KT) and confirm their assessment methods, domains, and validity. A total of 15 studies and 13 tools were reviewed, which included both KT patients and KT candidates. These tools can be utilized to assess the effectiveness of educational interventions in promoting self-management after KT.
