Summary: Inequalities in access to opportunities are shaped by socio-spatial structures and urban development, particularly in central and peripheral countries. While travel costs relative to income have a smaller impact on job accessibility in developed countries, they significantly limit opportunities in peripheral and developing countries. Additionally, social class and historical development trajectories play major roles in determining accessibility levels for different racial and ethnic groups.

Summary: We estimated the minimum cost and affordability of the recommended diet based on the latest food-based dietary guidelines in Bangladesh. The cost of the recommended diet was $0.87 (83 BDT) per person per day at the national level. About 43% of households nationally could not afford the recommended diet, with rural areas bearing a disproportionate burden. Additionally, households were found to overspend on starchy staples while underspending on protein-rich foods, fruits, and dairy.

Summary: The study shows that a cure for chronic hepatitis B infection would be highly cost-effective, even if effective in only 30% of patients. The threshold price for cure is largely determined by the current costs of antiviral drugs, as it would replace a daily pill that is inexpensive and effective.

Summary: The study found that some young renters receive financial support from their parents to pay for housing expenses, with around 35.6% still receiving support. The perceived housing cost burdens of young renters are mainly influenced by factors such as gender, rental deposit, and monthly cash housing expenses. The results suggest that expanding public housing and housing subsidies can help alleviate the financial burdens of young renters and their parents.
