Summary: The study found that assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment may amplify the adverse effect of female infertility on neonates. Women with tubal factor infertility, ovulatory dysfunction, and unexplained infertility have a higher risk of preterm birth after ART treatment.

Summary: The study found that mortality rates within the first year were similar between very preterm infants conceived via assisted reproductive technology (ART) and spontaneously conceived infants. Infants conceived via ART required less respiratory support and supplemental oxygen in the early stages compared to spontaneously conceived infants.

Summary: This study found that women who conceived through assisted reproductive technology (ART), especially those with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), had a higher risk of preterm birth. Effective approaches for preventing GDM are crucial to preventing preterm birth among mothers who underwent ART.

Summary: Deer species in the Neotropical region are experiencing population declines and decreased genetic diversity due to rapid habitat loss and human activities. Assisted reproductive technology (ART) shows promise in advancing wildlife conservation efforts and maintaining genetic diversity in deer. Techniques such as in vitro embryo production (IVP) and proteomics are being utilized to better understand and address reproductive challenges facing Neotropical deer.

Summary: This study evaluated the relationship between proestrus length and follicular size, estrous behavior, and pregnancy rate. The results showed that extending proestrus length could increase the diameter of the preovulatory follicle, proportion of heifers expressing estrus, and pregnancy rate in beef heifers.

Summary: FIGO supports the use of assisted reproductive technologies for achieving pregnancy but stresses the importance of considering the increased risk of preterm birth. Single embryo transfer is recommended to reduce the risk of preterm birth in IVF cycles.

Summary: This study compared the neurodevelopmental outcomes of preterm infants born through assisted reproductive technology and natural conception. The findings showed that infants conceived through assisted reproduction had lower odds of adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes at 18 to 24 months' corrected age, especially in cognitive and language outcomes.

Summary: The report provides data on the utilization, effectiveness, and safety of assisted reproductive technology (ART) globally in 2013, showing an increase in ART cycles and changes in trends such as a rise in the proportion of older women undergoing non-donor ART. Further efforts are needed to improve the quality and consistency of reporting ART data by registries.

Summary: The study evaluated the efficiency of a hormonal protocol for timed artificial insemination in mares, comparing financial costs between conventional artificial insemination and timed artificial insemination. The results showed that timed artificial insemination was as effective as conventional artificial insemination while reducing costs, making it suitable for use in mares.

Summary: This nationwide cohort study examined the outcomes of assisted reproductive technology treatments in women using donor or partner sperm in Denmark from 2007 to 2017. The study found that the use of donor sperm was associated with higher odds of live birth after IUI treatments in women with male partners (aOR 1.48), single women (aOR 1.20), and women with female partners (aOR 1.46). However, there was no significant difference in live birth rates between women using donor and partner sperm after IVF treatments. The study highlights the importance of healthcare professionals attending to the individual needs and fertility issues of women seeking fertility treatments.

Summary: The reproduction process is more problematic for individuals born VPT/VLBW at 35 years old, with lower fertility rates, higher risks for conception problems and pregnancy complications, but their offspring do not have an increased risk for preterm birth.

Summary: This study investigated the epidemiology and microbiology of early-onset sepsis (EOS) among very preterm infants from 2018 to 2019. The findings revealed an incidence rate of 13.5 per 1000 very preterm births, with Escherichia coli and group B Streptococcus being the most common pathogens. Infected infants had longer hospital stays and lower survival rates, emphasizing the need for novel preventive strategies.

Summary: This study compared the effectiveness and safety of one cycle of assisted reproductive technology (ART) with three cycles of intrauterine insemination (IUI). The results showed that one cycle of ART had a similar probability of live birth as three cycles of IUI, but slightly higher risks of multiple gestations, preterm births, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions.

Summary: Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH)-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (GnRH-ChNPs) were used to induce ovulation in rabbits for artificial insemination. The use of GnRH-ChNPs reduced the intramuscular GnRH dose by half without compromising fertility, but adding them to semen extenders had negative impacts. Further studies are needed to explore this point and make adjustments.
