Summary: Prosthetic rehabilitation through dental implants can be improved using implant planning software and digitally designed surgical guides. This systematic review evaluates the success rates, bone remodeling, and possible complications related to guided implant surgery. The results show high implant survival rates, but early failures are common due to lack of osseointegration, and various factors influence implant survival.

Summary: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the mid-term outcome of using standard implants with 20 to 24 mm length in immediate function for prosthetic rehabilitation of complete edentulous jaws with low bone density. The results showed that long implants (>= 20 mm) provided successful treatment outcomes with improved prosthetic function for patients with low bone density and complete edentulism.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the effects of berries on dental biofilm and caries prevention. 23 studies showed that grape seed extract (GSE), cranberry, and sour cherry have anticariogenic effects. GSE enhances remineralization of dental enamel and dentin, while cranberry extracts decrease biofilm biomass and pH, with positive effects on cariogenic dental biofilm.

Summary: Additive manufacturing technologies are used to create customized objects in complex shapes based on computer-aided design models. In oral implantology, these technologies have been applied to implant surgery, custom titanium meshes, dental implants, and other dental products. Stereolithography, digital light processing, fused deposition modeling, and other techniques are commonly used for different purposes.

Summary: Acromegaly is a chronic disease caused by abnormal secretion of growth hormone by a pituitary adenoma. It is characterized by slow progression of signs and symptoms, resulting in acral overgrowth, somatic changes, and various comorbidities. Oro-dental symptoms such as dental diastema, mandibular overgrowth, mandibular prognathism, and macroglossia are common in acromegalic patients.

Summary: When bone is limited or severely damaged, using implants to restore oral rehabilitation can be challenging. Different techniques such as guided bone regeneration, onlay block transplantation, and alveolar distraction osteogenesis have been established to address these issues. Alveolar distraction osteogenesis (ADO) is a biological procedure that allows for complete restoration of bone and soft tissue, but there are indications, limitations, and complications associated with it. In addition to the literature, the concept of Tissue Regeneration by Alveolar Callusdistraction Cologne (TRACC) has also been successfully practiced for over two decades for different indications.

Summary: This study compared the effects of using A-PRF+ alone and A-PRF+ combined with autologous gingival fibroblasts. The results showed that the combination of A-PRF+ and fibroblasts had higher values of VEGF and TGF beta 2 released, and significantly increased fibroblast proliferation after 72 hours. In terms of wound healing, the factors released from A-RRF+ alone and the factors released from A-RRF+ combined with fibroblasts showed significantly better results.

Summary: This study evaluated the experimental LIPSS-based LSFL dental implant surfaces by comparing their physical properties using methods such as fractal dimension analysis and texture analysis. The results showed that laser-induced periodic surface structure modifications significantly enhanced cell adhesion and growth on the tested surfaces. Texture and fractal dimension analyses are promising methods for evaluating dental implants with complex geometry.

Summary: The implant-supported restoration of missing teeth is a widely accepted treatment method that provides satisfactory functional, esthetic, and durable effects. The ideal time for dental implant loading is still debated, with three protocols commonly used: immediate loading, early loading, and conventional (late) loading. This review summarizes the evidence on the impact of loading time on marginal bone loss (MBL) around dental implants and finds no significant differences in MBL between immediate/early loaded implants and conventionally loaded ones.

Summary: This study investigates the changes in stiffness of the masseter muscle and the temporalis muscle after botox injections in patients with masseter muscle hypertrophy. The results show that botox injections decrease the stiffness of the masseter muscle, while increasing the stiffness of the temporalis muscle. Simultaneous evaluation and treatment of the temporalis muscle may be necessary to ensure the desired functional and cosmetic effect.

Summary: Tooth extractions, especially of impacted lower third molars, are common procedures in dental practices. However, they can cause discomfort, pain, swelling, and trismus. Researchers have been developing treatment procedures to reduce the negative consequences of these surgeries and enhance alveolar bone and soft tissue regeneration.
