Summary: In this study, the effects of a topical liquid formula containing polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), vitamin C, and niacinamide (PVN) delivered via microneedling therapy system (MTS) on photoaging and pigmentation were evaluated. The results showed that PVN decreased melanogenesis and destruction of collagen and elastin fibers by MMPs, leading to decreased skin pigmentation and increased skin elasticity.

Summary: The study suggests that H2S alleviates liver damage by activating Keap1 S-sulfhydration and promoting the activation of Nrf2, leading to increased expression of antioxidant proteins, which may have potential therapeutic benefits for liver diseases.

Summary: The accumulation of senescent cells in aging tissues contributes to age-associated diseases. Inhibiting the anti-apoptotic machinery of senescent cells through BCL-2 protein family inhibitors can eliminate these cells. Combination therapy with BCL-2 inhibitors shows synergistic effects in eliminating senescent cells and overcoming resistance to monotherapy.

Summary: Recent studies have found that endocrine-disrupting chemicals play a significant role in the development of asthma, particularly eosinophilic asthma. However, the specific mechanism remains unclear. This study used mouse models to investigate the harmful effects of mono-n-butyl phthalate (MnBP) on airway epithelial cells, T cells, and eosinophils. The results showed that MnBP increased airway hyperresponsiveness, eosinophil and T cell counts, and T helper 2 cytokine release in mice with asthma. Furthermore, MnBP directly enhanced eosinophil activation.

Summary: PmNrf2, a member of CNC-bZIP transcription factor family, is constitutively expressed in various tissues of shrimp and responds to bacterial challenge. Knockdown of PmNrf2 results in decreased expression of PmGPx gene, indicating its role in regulating the transcription of antioxidant enzyme genes in shrimp.

Summary: The study evaluated the effect and underlying mechanism of GDK aqueous extract in alleviating acute liver injury caused by CCl4. The results showed that GDK effectively inhibited liver damage and restored the structure and function of the liver. It achieved this by suppressing liver fibrosis, blocking the NFicB pathway, inhibiting hepatic inflammatory response, reducing oxidative stress, inhibiting ferroptosis, and alleviating hepatocyte injury caused by CCl4. In conclusion, this study provides insights into the potential complex mechanism of GDK against acute liver injury.

Summary: The study demonstrates that curcumin can protect the skin from UV damage by regulating the Nrf2 pathway. UV irradiation leads to cell apoptosis and oxidative stress, which can be reversed by adding curcumin. Additionally, curcumin induces Nrf2 nuclear accumulation in Hacat cells to provide protection against UV exposure-induced photodamage.

Summary: Oxidative stress is a key driver in the development and progression of various diseases, including MAFLD. NRF2, a master regulator of redox homeostasis, plays a crucial role in every step of MAFLD development. NRF2 activators regulate lipid metabolism and oxidative stress, alleviating fatty liver disease by inducing the expression of cytoprotective genes.

Summary: Arterial hypertension is a prevalent disease characterized by increased incidence and heterogeneous pathophysiology. Oxidative stress plays an important role in its development, with excessive levels causing vascular cell damage and promoting hypertension. Transcription factors such as Nrf2 mediate antioxidant response pathways and provide protection.

Summary: While overt vitamin B6 deficiency is rare, marginal deficiency is common and associated with an increased risk of inflammation-related diseases. Vitamin B6 treatment can increase certain substances in the heart and suppress the formation of inflammasomes, potentially serving as a cardioprotective mechanism.
