Summary: Hot springs are a significant resource in nature-based tourism and play a major role in the wellness tourism market. This study investigates the factors contributing to tourism demand for major hot spring resorts in Japan through the use of regression models and compares the results. The findings highlight the importance of accommodation quality, dependence on inbound demand, and the number of non-Japanese languages supported on hot spring resort websites in influencing tourism demand.

Summary: Peroral Cholangioscopy (POCS) is effective in achieving complete stone removal for intrahepatic stones, but it is associated with a longer procedure time compared to fluoroscopic guidance. However, the incidence of cholangitis was not significantly different between patients with and without POCS. This study highlights the importance of specialized equipment and experienced staff for endoscopic treatment of intrahepatic stones.

Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major public health concern promoted by obesity-related liver complications. The transition from steatosis to steatohepatitis and from steatohepatitis to HCC involves complex interactions between metabolic and immune pathways. Understanding these immunometabolic changes associated with HCC in obesity may contribute to the development of targeted therapies.

Summary: Despite the importance of the topic of death, there is limited comprehensive statistical analysis on the complex association between fear of death and various variables. This study aims to address this complexity by removing multi-collinear variables and using recursive feature elimination to reduce dataset dimensionality. The results indicate that although being married, older, and female have an offsetting effect on fear of death, their impacts are multiplicative. Additionally, those who believe in cryonics are associated with higher levels of fear of death, with the association varying depending on individuals' worries about someday not being alive and their marital status.

Summary: Understanding the factors that contribute to the escalation of alcohol consumption is crucial for understanding the transition from non/social drinking to AUD and improving treatment. This review discusses how the way ethanol is consumed, as well as individual and environmental factors, contribute to the escalation of ethanol consumption. Additionally, the review examines how these factors are modeled in animals.

Summary: The severe complications of COVID-19 are a result of the individual's dysfunctional immune response to the initial SARS-CoV-2 infection. Multiple toxic stressors and behaviors contribute to immune system dysfunction which the virus exploits to cause COVID-19. This study identifies eighty modifiable contributing factors that link directly to COVID-19, and shows how each factor contributes to immune system dysfunction, inflammation, coagulation, neural damage, and neurodegeneration. It emphasizes the importance of addressing and eliminating these factors in combatting COVID-19 and similar diseases caused by viral variants.

Summary: CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) play a crucial role in targeting virus infected and cancer cells. Molecular mechanisms such as the clustering of MHC-I molecules and T cell receptors (TCRs), as well as the contribution of the CD8 co-receptor, drive the exceptional potency of these cytolytic responses.
