Summary: This study investigated the incidence and risk factors of allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) after using 2-octyl cyanoacrylate and n-butyl cyanoacrylate topical skin adhesives. The incidence of ACD from both adhesives was around 2-3%, with no significant difference between them. Logistic regression analysis did not identify any variables that increased the risk of ACD for either adhesive, suggesting that clinicians and patients should be aware of the possibility of ACD even without known risk factors.

Summary: The study reported on complications and risk factors of elective endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection with lauromacrogol for gastric varices in cirrhotic patients. Major perioperative complications were low, but major postoperative complications were relatively higher. Injection point was identified as a key factor related to major complications in both perioperative and postoperative periods.

Summary: The study investigated the safety, feasibility, and effectiveness of liver retraction using NBCA glue during LC for patients with thick protrusion hepatic quadrate lobe. Results showed that using NBCA to fix the liver protrusion can shorten the operation time and does not lead to significant complications.

Summary: Selective arterial embolization (SAE) with a mixture of cyanoacrylate and Lipiodol is an effective and safe treatment for renal angiomyolipoma (rAML), leading to significant reduction in tumor volume. This retrospective study showed that factors associated with greater volume reduction included smaller percentage of fat, larger initial rAML volume, and longer follow-up duration. Overall, the mean creatinine level did not change after SAE, indicating the procedure's positive impact on kidney function.

Summary: This study compared the efficacy and safety of endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection and balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration (BRTO) to prevent rebleeding in patients with cirrhosis and gastric varices. The results showed that BRTO was more effective in preventing rebleeding from gastric varices, with similar impacts on complications and mortality.

Summary: This study investigated the differences in future liver remnant (FLR) growth between n-butyl-cyanoacrylate glue (NBCA) and microparticles in portal vein embolization (PVE). The results showed that the NBCA group had a higher degree of hypertrophy and resection rate compared to the microparticle group. Procedure-related data indicated the superiority of NBCA. Chemotherapy after PVE did not seem to negatively affect hypertrophy.

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of dual angiotherapy guided by endoscopic ultrasound and cyanoacrylate injection in the secondary prophylaxis of gastroesophageal varices. The results showed that dual therapy had higher technical and clinical success rates compared to single therapy, and the obliteration of varices was faster.

Summary: Hepatic lymphorrhea is a rare complication that can lead to refractory ascites, with only a few successfully treated cases reported so far. The use of n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA) glue embolization may be a treatment option for controlling ascites derived from hepatic lymphorrhea.

Summary: This study investigated the safety and therapeutic effect of EUS-guided coil placement and cyanoacrylate glue injection for gastric varices with obvious spontaneous portosystemic shunts. The results showed that all patients underwent successful coil placement and cyanoacrylate glue injection, with no rebleeding or ectopic embolism occurring. The combination of cyanoacrylate glue and coil placement is a safe and effective treatment method for patients with gastric variceal bleeding and obvious spontaneous portosystemic shunts.
