Summary: Testicular ultrasound can be a valuable tool for predicting ram seminal quality, with white and grey pixels correlating with poor sperm parameters and tubular density and lumen area correlating with good sperm quality. Ultrasound-video analysis allows for both macroscopic and microscopic evaluation of testicular echotexture, providing a non-invasive method for assessing ram fertility.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a new software called Ecotext in diagnosing stallions with testicular dysfunction (TD) and studied the relationship between Ecotext parameters and sperm motility, production, testicular volume, and blood flow. The results showed that Ecotext could identify changes in the testicular echotexture of stallions with TD, opening up possibilities for further research.

Summary: This passage states that fetal hypospadias should be considered if a male fetus has a shortened penis, blunt bulbous tips, ventrally curved shaft with or without chordee, and a typical fan shape stream of urinary jet under color Doppler during prenatal ultrasound examination. The more severe form of hypospadias is often accompanied by other congenital abnormalities.

Summary: This study aimed to report the experience with a complete evaluation for erectile dysfunction using CompED test, which proved to be less time consuming and helped in a more accurate determination of the aetiology, guiding treatment decision-making. Age, IIEF score, and surgical history were found to be predictive factors for abnormal test results.

Summary: The study aimed to verify the usefulness of spectral Doppler ultrasonography in determining the development of testis after torsion in boys. It presents a new approach to the issue of long-term gonadal blood supply abnormalities after treatment of testicular torsion in childhood, but found no clear correlation between the type of testicular torsion, its duration, and the echogenicity of the testis.

Summary: In some cases of testicular torsion, Color Doppler may show normal or increased blood flow signals in the testis. We should further observe the morphology and position of the testes and epididymides, the echo of the testicular parenchyma, and, especially evaluate the whirlpool sign in the spermatic cord, to avoid missing testicular torsion with blood flow signals.

Summary: Pediatric testicular tumors are rare and most are benign, but those that occur after puberty are more likely to be malignant. Imaging plays a crucial role in the diagnosis, staging, and follow-up of testicular tumors. Pre- and post-pubertal tumors have different characteristics in terms of epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the correlation between semen quality of rams and testicular blood flow dynamics through advanced semen evaluation tests and Doppler ultrasound examinations during routine ram examination periods in both breeding and non-breeding seasons. Results showed that high-quality semen was obtained during the breeding season, while high sperm abnormalities related to sperm cells DNA fragmentation and vacuolization were found before the breeding season.

Summary: This study investigates the value of using pulse wave analysis (PWA) to measure arterial stiffness as a sign of vascular wall impairment in obese children. The research shows that childhood obesity speeds up the development of arterial stiffness and increases arterial pressure. PWA provides valuable data regarding patients' vascular health and should be considered a reliable tool in the management of obese children.

Summary: This paper presents the development and validation of a sub-millimeter wave range-Doppler radar for non-intrusive sensing of solids concentrations in gas-solids systems. The radar system offers the ability to penetrate opaque materials, measure local solids velocity, and provide reflected radar power with high spatial resolution. The experimental results demonstrate that the radar system provides reliable measurements of solids concentrations with high accuracy.

Summary: This study describes the natural history of testicular dysfunction in patients with Klinefelter syndrome through the integration of clinical, hormonal, and quantitative ultrasound data. The results show that testicular development progresses until Tanner stage 4, with subsequent regression. Hormonal detection of Sertoli and germ cell impairment is not observed until Tanner stages 3-4. The findings highlight the importance of quantitative testicular ultrasound in infancy, childhood, and during pubertal development and transition age for optimal care of Klinefelter syndrome patients.

Summary: Seminal plasma proteins play crucial roles in sperm functionality, and their abundance in samples correlates with the quality of ejaculates from different stallions. Identifying specific proteins in seminal plasma could potentially help improve the quality of stallion ejaculates and enhance breeding strategies.

Summary: This study evaluated uterine blood flow area (BFA) as a marker of endometritis in mares and jennies using power Doppler ultrasound. The results showed that BFA was greater in oestrus than in diestrus in healthy mares, but no differences were observed in mares with endometritis. Uterine blood flow in healthy jennies was not affected by the oestrus cycle. Both species showed increased BFA in pathological uterine conditions, and BFA was found to be a good marker of endometritis.

Summary: Although research has been done on the impact of cryopreservation on the stallion sperm proteome, there is a lack of studies on the stallion sperm phosphoproteome. This study reanalyzed the proteomes of fresh and cryopreserved spermatozoa and found that cryopreservation caused significant changes in the phosphoproteome. Certain phosphoproteins were significantly reduced by cryopreservation, and their phosphorylation plays a crucial role in the activity and regulation of stallion spermatozoa.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the role of autophagy in stallion spermatozoa during capacitation and acrosome reaction. The activation of autophagy components, such as LC3, was observed in spermatozoa during these processes. Furthermore, the inhibition or activation of autophagy-related pathways affected the acrosome reaction. These findings suggest that noncanonical autophagy may facilitate the acrosome reaction in stallion sperm.

Summary: This study aimed to identify survival biomarkers (SB) and treatment response monitoring biomarkers (TRMB) in the urinary proteome of dogs with canine leishmaniosis (CanL) induced renal disease using UHPLC-MS/MS. Bioinformatic analysis revealed 6 potential SB increased in nonsurvivors and 9 proteins that decreased after treatment in survivors. These findings contribute to a better understanding of urinary biomarkers associated with kidney disease.

Summary: This study evaluated the effect of storing porcine sperm at 5 degrees C one day after collection. The results showed that under low temperature storage, bacterial load did not increase, while under 17 degrees C storage, bacterial load increased over time. In addition, storing at 5 degrees C maintained sperm motility but had some impact on other sperm functionalities.

Summary: This study evaluated fertility rates after cervical artificial insemination of 11,805 ewes at different points in the reproductive season and identified male factors influencing reproductive success. Proteomic analysis revealed different sperm protein expression between the extreme points in the mating season, potentially explaining the lower fertility rate during early breeding season. Sperm proteins can be used as effective molecular markers in predicting fertilization ability related to seasonal variations.

Summary: The presence of a more efficient glycolysis mechanism depending on pyruvate in stallion spermatozoa can counteract the detrimental effects of higher glucose concentrations. Incubating spermatozoa with 10 mM pyruvate in a modified Tyrode's media with 67 mM glucose showed increased motility and maintained viability. This improvement is attributed to the conversion of lactate to pyruvate and increased NAD(+) enhancing glycolysis efficiency.
