Summary: The study found that both perceived and actual financial crises impact senior bank loan officers' credit standards, with the actual crisis having the greatest impact. These results are consistent in both the short and long term. Additionally, evidence was found to support the notion of the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.

Summary: Early head computed tomography (HCT) within 6 hours of cardiac arrest (CA) can impact therapeutic decisions, with 25% of cases showing abnormalities and nearly half resulting in management changes. Cases with radiographic hypoxic-ischemic brain injury (HIBI) had lower gray-white matter ratio (GWR) and higher progression to brain death. Interpretation discrepancies between radiology and neurointensivists were common and agreement on severity of HIBI on early HCT was poor.

Summary: This article discusses the issue of outcome evaluation in infertility treatment. Currently, the success of the treatment is measured based on whether a healthy baby is born, which may lead to an unfair division between success and failure. The authors suggest using a new outcome measure, in which the success of the treatment is evaluated based on whether the individuals have been released from the suffering associated with infertility. This new measure includes both the cases of successfully giving birth to a healthy baby and the cases of not giving birth but being free from infertility-related suffering.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between students' pre-course and post-course entrepreneurial intentions by investigating the role of expected and experienced entrepreneurial inspiration. The results confirm a serial mediation mechanism and suggest that this mechanism is stronger among students taking entrepreneurship courses. The findings shed light on the determinants of intention fixedness and have implications for policymakers and entrepreneurship educators.

Summary: A minority of social psychologists argue that stereotype accuracy is a robust finding, while also questioning the power of self-fulfilling prophecies. This paper examines the debate from the perspective of predictive processing, suggesting that stereotypes serve a purpose in making the social world predictable and that self-fulfilling prophecies greatly impact social reality.

Summary: This study aims to confirm the effectiveness of machine learning algorithms in risk stratification of patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage (BGH). ML models and logistic regression model were used for prognostic risk assessment, and the SHAP algorithm was applied for clinical interpretability. The results showed that ML models could assist clinicians in timely identifying risk states.

Summary: Soil organic matter (SOM), storing carbon (C) and essential plant nutrients in the soil for thousands of years, has been recognized by scientists for its positive impact on vital environmental functions like food production and climate regulation. However, when virgin land (forests or grasslands) is converted to agriculture, the soil tends to lose its SOM, and the lack of understanding of the underlying mechanisms has led to inappropriate interventions to combat soil, climate, and ecosystem deterioration.

Summary: The actual 30-day mortality rate of surgically treated ICH patients was significantly lower than predicted, with anisocoria and preoperative Glasgow Coma Scale < 7 being the only two factors predicting mortality and morbidity. The ICH and SwICH scores were more valid in predicting morbidity rather than mortality after surgical intervention for ICH.

Summary: Floor egg laying is a common problem in cage-free housing systems, which can result in financial loss for egg producers. This literature review and interviews with producers revealed that implementing the right strategies during the rearing period and when the birds first start laying can manage floor egg laying behavior. However, for producers who purchase point-of-lay birds, controlling this behavior is more challenging. Understanding the behavior and needs of a particular hen strain or flock is crucial.
