On the base of capacitance-voltage measurements in thin planar oriented liquid crystal (4-pentyl 4- cyanobiphenyl) cell, the influence of small BaTiO3 particles on the Frederiks transition threshold voltage has been studied. When the BaTiO3 particles are added into the liquid crystal, the Frederiks transition occurs in two stages: the weak transition at U-th1 = 0, 4V and the strong transition at U-th2 = 2V. Besides the decreasing of the capacitance of the cell with liquid crystal doped with BaTiO3 particles is observed at voltages exceeding 6 V.
