Hierarchical copper sulfide (CuS)-reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were synthesized using a simple wet chemical method. The samples were characterized via X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy techniques. The electrochemical performances of hierarchical CuS-rGO composites, as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, were also investigated in comparison with that of pure CuS. Results showed that the specific capacity of 408 mAh/g after 100 cycles and cycling stability of hierarchical CuS-rGO composites were higher than those of pure CuS. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V.
