Summary: The study aimed to develop imaging staging guidelines for vulvar cancer and propose standardised MRI protocols and reporting through expert consensus and literature review. Standardising image acquisition techniques and structured MRI reporting can reduce ambiguity, improve diagnostic accuracy, and aid in the management of patients with vulvar cancer.

Summary: By following a standardized process, a total of 11 QIs for cardiac pacing were developed, divided into four domains of care based on the conceptual framework of patient management. These indicators can be used to quantify adherence to guideline-recommended clinical practice and have the potential to improve the care and outcomes of patients receiving cardiac pacemakers.

Summary: The diagnostic and therapeutic pathway of vulvar cancer has a severe impact on the psychosocial and psychosexual equilibrium of affected women. Women diagnosed and treated for vulvar cancer are at higher risk of psychological distress, sexual dysfunction, and dissatisfaction with partner relationships. This article aims to review the psychological, relational, and sexual issues experienced by women with vulvar cancer, highlighting the importance of this issue and improving the quality of care offered to these patients. Implementing an integrated care model can help identify unmet needs and improve the quality of life of these women.

Summary: Colorectal cancer treatment practices in a region of Ukraine show inconsistencies and inadequacies, with lack of resources and system-level issues negatively impacting patient care. This likely results from insufficient staging practices and varied adjuvant treatments, influenced by the financial constraints faced by providers and patients.

Summary: This review examines the impact of vulvar cancer on women's sexual health from a multidimensional perspective. The findings suggest that women with vulvar cancer experience changes in their body, sexual identity, and relationships, and often face unmet needs and loneliness due to societal taboos. Healthcare professionals need to address these issues and provide holistic sexual guidance and support for vulvar cancer patients.

Summary: Patients with differentiated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia have a high risk of developing vulvar squamous cell carcinoma, with rapid cancer progression. Increased awareness, timely recognition, aggressive treatment, and close follow-up are strongly recommended for HPV-independent vulvar conditions including dVIN.

Summary: Vulvar cancer is a rare gynecological malignancy, with two main clinicopathological subtypes linked to different etiologies - one associated with HPV infection, commonly diagnosed in young women, and the other associated with lichen sclerosus, mostly diagnosed in postmenopausal women. Treatment depends on histopathology grade and staging, with surgery often combined with radiotherapy considered the gold standard. Advances in treatment include the use of sentinel lymph node biopsy to reduce surgical morbidity rates.

Summary: Evidence-based clinical guidelines are important in healthcare and can be valuable sources for quality indicators (QIs). However, the link between guidelines and QI is often neglected and standards for the development of guideline-based QI are lacking. Strategic partnerships, patient participation, measurement of qualitative aspects, and piloting are areas for further development in the development of guideline-based QI.

Summary: The primary treatment for resectable vulvar cancer is the removal of the primary tumor and assessment of the lymph nodes. After surgery, a significant number of patients experience local recurrence. Positive or close margins have historically been the strongest predictor of local recurrence. Radiation therapy may be recommended for patients with positive margins or other risk factors for local recurrence.

Summary: The study found that the CXCR4/ACKR3/CXCL12 axis is activated during progression and lymphatic spread of VSCC. CXCR4 and ACKR3 proteins are nearly absent in precancerous lesions but are strong in VSCC samples. Additionally, serum CXCL12 levels are significantly increased in both patients with VSCC and premalignant vulvar lesions.

Summary: The definition of reproductive outcomes after fertility-sparing management (FSM) is not standardized and different terms and criteria are used. It is unclear whether pregnancy or childbirth rates should be the primary endpoints, and the evaluation of pregnancy/birth rates is confusing due to the selection of different reference groups. Moreover, discussing the chances of childbearing with patients is complicated. Therefore, uniform definitions of reproductive outcomes should be established.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the recurrence and birth rates among patients with non-epithelial ovarian cancer. A total of 146 patients who underwent fertility-sparing surgery for germ cell (GCT) and sex cord-stromal tumors (SCST) were included. The 5- and 10-year disease-free survival rates were 91% and 83%, respectively. After a 24-month follow-up, the recurrence rate was higher than the rate of childbearing, but after 2 years, the childbearing rates exceeded the rate of recurrence.

Summary: For patients with evidence of vulvar tumor spread to the lymph nodes in the groin, current treatment involves removal of the primary tumor and all regional lymph nodes followed by radiotherapy. This study explored an alternative treatment method involving selective removal of enlarged lymph nodes only, followed by radiotherapy. The study found that there was no difference in survival rates between the group treated with selective removal and the group treated with complete lymph node removal.

Summary: Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) is a chronic condition that affects women's urogenital health and sexual function. Symptoms are often not reported or underestimated, leading to underdiagnosis and undertreatment. Local estrogen therapy is the mainstay of vaginal treatments, but it may not be suitable for women with a history of hormone receptor positive cancer. Hyaluronic acid-based moisturizers may be a safe and effective non-hormonal treatment option, especially for women with a history of cancer.
