Summary: The study analyzed the association between food preferences and food choice determinants in adolescents aged 15-20 years, identifying four clusters of respondents based on their food choice motives. Different clusters showed varied preferences for food categories, with preferences positively associated with mood, convenience, sensory appeal, natural content, and price. This allows for the definition of various needs and motives among identified segments, which may be crucial for public health purposes, particularly targeting hedonists with preferences for meat/fish, dairy, and snacks.

Summary: The study developed a new questionnaire called the Sarcopenia Knowledge Questionnaire (SKQ) to assess the level of awareness about sarcopenia in older adults. The reliability and validity of this tool were tested with a sample of 293 older adults. The SKQ demonstrated excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's a = 0.969) and moderate convergent validity (correlation with the Mandarin Multidimensional Health Literacy Questionnaire, r = 0.511, p < 0.001). The results suggest that the SKQ is a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating the knowledge of older adults about sarcopenia.

Summary: This study developed a College Student Physical Literacy Questionnaire (CSPLQ) for Chinese college students and collected validity evidence. The CSPLQ consisted of 38 items across 3 domains and 7 dimensions. The ICVI of the CSPLQ was 0.70-0.95, and each subscale had a Cronbach alpha coefficient > 0.9. The correlation analysis showed significant relationships between college students' physical literacy and other variables, including athletic ability, physical condition, physical attractiveness, physical fitness, frequency of physical activity, and length of physical activity.

Summary: The review examines the current evidence on parental food communication practices and their impact on child eating behaviors. Out of 11,063 articles, 23 were eligible for synthesis. The majority of studies used observational cross-sectional designs, with some studies employing interventions. Findings suggest that how parents communicate about food can influence child eating behaviors, with child-centered communication showing positive outcomes and parental diet communication associated with poorer dietary outcomes in children.

Summary: This systematic review evaluates the clinical utility of reproductive carrier screening (RCS) and synthesizes the outcomes in a meta-analysis. The review includes eleven studies, screening a varying number of conditions and identifying high-risk couples per 1,000 screened individuals. The results suggest that the number and severity of screened conditions significantly impact reproductive decisions, with a decrease in the rates of prenatal diagnosis and termination as the number of screened conditions increases.

Summary: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health challenge, with low-income countries being the most affected. This review examined the evidence on tuberculosis infection control (TBIC) measures in low-resource primary healthcare settings and identified effective measures such as cough officer screening, patient isolation, and modification of consultation rooms. Barriers to TBIC practices included lack of patient education and inadequate facilities, while facilitators included triaging TB patients and training healthcare workers on TBIC.

Summary: Fast food consumption is a major contributor to childhood obesity. However, there is a lack of data on the marketing strategies used by fast food companies to promote their products to adolescents in low and middle-income countries. This systematic review identified that incentives or premium offers, product appeals, promotional characters, and brand familiarity are the most commonly used strategies. These strategies were mostly observed on social media, highlighting concerns about adolescent exposure to unhealthy food promotion in developing settings.

Summary: Predicting individual body weights over time in weight loss programs helps clarify patient expectations. It is unclear how accurate two commonly used weight prediction models are for community living individuals. Summary: During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, Queensland, Australia had relative success in containing viral transmission, providing a unique case for effective crisis management. Limited research exists on the communication style and effectiveness of Chief Health Officers (CHOs) in pandemic scenarios. Through a content analysis of press conferences, it was found that most communication aligned with the Crisis Emergency and Risk Communication (CERC) framework, suggesting its importance in the state's success. However, there were areas lacking and a modified framework was developed for a more succinct coding model.
