Summary: This paper analyzes a large-scale dataset of real-world Wi-Fi operating networks collected from more than 9,000 access points over the course of one year, with most located in over 1,200 educational centers nationwide. The authors propose a simple embedding method for Wi-Fi network conflict graphs based on classical graph features, which proves useful for analyzing wireless network behavior and showing high discrimination power among different school networks. The methodology presented allows for successful separation of stable scenarios from those with greater variability, enabling more technical resources to optimize the network, as well as comparison of Wi-Fi network behavior across different schools for potential configuration reuse based on similar conflict graph patterns.

Summary: This paper investigates the synergistic use of Wi-Fi and BLE under IPv6 in a low-power multihop network. The Wi-BLE interface is designed to handle control plane and data plane for IPv6 over both Wi-Fi and BLE, considering aspects such as throughput, transmission range, and power consumption. Additionally, MABLE is designed to efficiently build ad hoc routes for BLE. Empirical results demonstrate that the cooperative use of Wi-Fi and BLE significantly improves reliability and energy efficiency.

Summary: Physical layer fingerprinting is a promising solution for improving Wi-Fi device security and enhancing Wi-Fi-based applications in IoT scenarios. Existing methods using signal analyzers for feature extraction are not practical and need improvement for devices with complex physical layer modulation. We propose a device fingerprinting technique that extracts various multi-domain features from the physical layer preamble, different from previous works. The proposed scheme achieves high accuracy in identifying fingerprints for different types of IoT Wi-Fi devices and network cards.

Summary: In this study, a split ring resonator loaded multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna design for the frequency range of 1 and 25 GHz was proposed. The different antenna parameters were analyzed numerically and through fabrication. The proposed antenna design showed a wide bandwidth and the ability to generate radiation beams in different directions under different port excitation conditions. Additionally, the antenna design exhibited high gain and low return loss performance.

Summary: This article introduces a method to improve system security in communication-based train control (CBTC) systems using blockchain. By deploying blockchain, distributed key management and communication authentication can be achieved in CBTC systems. The problems of block producer selection and blockchain client handoff decision are addressed using deep reinforcement learning. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed blockchain scheme can significantly enhance the security of CBTC systems, albeit at the expense of some performance.

Summary: In this paper, a novel mobility model is proposed to provide real-time train traffic traces for train-to-train communication models. The model works based on trip timetables without relying on GPS, making it a practical solution for urban areas or tunnels with poor or unavailable GPS signal. The proposed model also incorporates an energy optimization function to guide trains towards efficient operation, and an algorithm to determine contact specifications between trains for data exchange capacity estimation.

Summary: This paper focuses on optimizing and evaluating Wi-Fi 6 and 5G NR wireless networks for meeting the packet latency and reliability requirements of critical IIoT applications. Wi-Fi 6 can support <1 ms applications at a very low load, while unlicensed 5G NR shows nearly 2x the spectral efficiency of Wi-Fi 6. Licensed 5G NR generally performs the best, especially for delay requirements <1 ms, supporting 2-4x the spectral efficiency achievable by unlicensed technologies.

Summary: Validation measurements for the Future Railway Communication System in railway environments are challenging but can be minimized by using simulation tools and testing procedures in a laboratory. The emulation platform Emulradio4Rail is able to test wireless systems under realistic railway conditions. The study provides statistical distributions of IP metrics for Wi-Fi and LTE transmissions in typical railway environments, which can be used to easily test wireless system modems.

Summary: In the automotive and rail domains, vehicles are moving towards full automation with the help of wireless sensors and communication systems, transferring control functions from human drivers to computers. The Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) is being developed at European level to meet current and future railway needs, based on IP, multi-bearer and resilient technology. The testing of different FRMCS prototypes in laboratory environments to simulate the effects of railway radio channels is crucial for the validation of railway communication systems and to save time and costs.
