Summary: This study examines the impact of metallic smoke released by steel industries on soil and aquatic ecosystems, as well as its effects on metal bioconcentration, antioxidant responses, and tissue histopathology in fat snook fish. The findings show that different organs have different levels of metal bioconcentration, with gills being the most affected. Antioxidant responses also vary in different organs, indicating potential risks to fish health.

Summary: Diabetes and hyperglycemia can cause oxidative damage to tissues and organs, including the salivary glands. This study investigated the potential of ascorbic acid to protect the structure and function of the major salivary glands in diabetic patients. The results showed that ascorbic acid could improve histological and functional changes in the salivary glands, suggesting it could be used as an adjuvant medication for diabetes.

Summary: Skin wound healing is a complex process, and the use of natural products like propolis can enhance this process. The study found that red propolis promotes wound contraction, epithelialization, and reduces crust formation. It also modulates the distribution of healing associated factors and increases the activity of antioxidant molecules.

Summary: The study found that in patients with ischemic stroke, there was a significant increase in wavelet amplitude values in the motor cortex under ISPC conditions, while there was no significant difference in hemorrhagic stroke patients. Additionally, ISPC may have a positive impact on the laterality index of the prefrontal cortex and motor cortex.
