Proton exchange membrane (PEM) is one of the essential materials for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMCF). The improvement of comprehensive characteristics of proton exchange membrane represents one of the most critical challenges for the large scale commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells. In this paper, we review the recent developments of proton exchange membrane via nanophase separation technologies.
