Summary: This research identified barriers to efficient management of home care nursing using a qualitative approach, including lack of effective standards, ineffective interactions, inappropriate cultural/social context, and professional issues. Recommendations to improve the quality of in-home care nursing include creating an appropriate cultural/social context in Iranian society, providing necessary infrastructure, encouraging teamwork, and organizing workshops for effective interactions between personnel and patients.

Summary: Coronary angiography has been the standard for diagnosing coronary artery disease and guiding percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Intravascular imaging (IVI) technologies are used in conjunction with angiography to better assess plaque morphology and optimize PCI. IVI has utility in preintervention assessment, procedural guidance, and postintervention evaluation. IVI's role in reducing major adverse cardiac events in complex lesions is emerging, and further studies are underway. This paper provides an overview of available IVI technologies, reviews evidence supporting their use in PCI, and advocates for broader utilization.

Summary: This study aimed to describe access issues faced by patients and relatives in a hospital setting and their impact on patient health and safety. The findings showed that access to healthcare services was restricted, which had negative implications for patient health and safety. Patients and relatives play an active role in healthcare, but their attempts are hindered due to restricted access.

Summary: This study explores registered nurses' perspectives on structural conditions that promote or hinder good quality care during transitions from hospital to home healthcare in rural areas of Sweden. The study finds that factors such as geographical barriers, difficulties in finding competent staff members, the development of technical devices, and access to the internet have significant impacts on the quality of care in rural areas.

Summary: This study aims to systematically identify, synthesise, and characterise the qualitative evidence on the experience of adult colorectal cancer survivors with continuity of care led by different health professionals. The findings suggest that colorectal cancer survivors have diverse experiences regarding continuity of care led by different providers, and they attach substantial importance to trusted relationships with providers. Therefore, future interventions should include adjusting the percentage of care from different providers to deliver cost-effective and personalised continuity of care.

Summary: The aim of this study was to compare the long-term counselling quality among patients visited and not visited at cardiac nurse after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and related factors one to two years after PCI. The findings showed that less than half of the patients visited the cardiac nurse as instructed. Patients who visited the nurse had higher satisfaction for counselling. However, certain patients, such as those without dyslipidemia or with specific cardiovascular conditions, were unsatisfied with counselling and required more support and patient-centered counselling.

Summary: Older adults in long-term care are often sedentary. A randomized clinical trial was conducted to explore the acceptability of a standing intervention called Stand If You Can (SIYC) among long-term care residents. The participants stood for a median of 53% of the offered intervention time and reported acceptability in various aspects. Standing is a simple and accepted intervention to reduce sedentary behavior in long-term care residents, as long as the burden is not perceived as too high.

Summary: Dual antiplatelet therapy is the standard of care for patients with chronic coronary syndrome and acute coronary syndrome undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention, but selecting the optimal duration and composition of treatment poses a major challenge. Current guidelines recommend risk stratification for tailoring treatment, yet various risk scoring methods and testing approaches have not been widely adopted in clinical practice. Further research and validation are needed to determine the effectiveness of these risk stratification methods in improving clinical outcomes.

Summary: As the field of PCI advances, the importance of bleeding in treatment is increasingly recognized, being seen as having equally unfavorable prognostic implications as ischemic or thrombotic complications. Therefore, strategies focusing on maximizing treatment efficacy while minimizing safety concerns such as bleeding have become increasingly important.

Summary: Recent data suggest that uric acid might be an independent predictor of clinical outcomes following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of uric acid in patients undergoing PCI for chronic total occlusions (CTO). The results showed that lower levels of uric acid were associated with significantly lower all-cause mortality in these patients.

Summary: This study explored the effects of continuous nursing care based on hierarchical diagnosis and treatment in stage II cardiac rehabilitation of patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The results showed that continuous nursing care improved cardiac function, quality of life, and compliance with rehabilitation and medication in these patients.

Summary: This study described the performance rates and regional variations in quality metrics for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using a national Japanese registry. The results showed that there were high rates of preprocedural antiplatelet therapy use, but room for improvement in door-to-balloon time and transradial approach use. The rates of preprocedural noninvasive stress testing were low with substantial variations. The findings suggest the need for targeted efforts in improving testing rates and optimizing resource allocation or providing additional education or feedback mechanisms.
