Summary: The study compared EOS, ADHD, and a healthy control group on cognitive tests over 25 years, finding cognitive stagnation in EOS group from T1 to T2 but significant improvement from T2 to T3, while the ADHD group consistently improved over the study period, supporting a maturational delay hypothesis for ADHD.

Summary: This study examined the diagnostic indicators, clinical characteristics, and functional impairment associated with adult ADHD using electronic medical records and self-report measures. The results showed a significant difference in prevalence of ADHD between self-report screening and medical records. ADHD was found to contribute to functional impairment even when controlling for other psychiatric comorbidities.

Summary: The study examines the impact of relative age on mental health, specifically in preterm infants. The results show that being relatively young within a school class is associated with an increased likelihood of psychostimulant prescription, and this effect persists into young adulthood for preterm individuals.

Summary: This study analyzed urine microbiome profiles to explore the potential of the urine microbiome as a biomarker for pediatric ADHD. The ADHD group showed decreased alpha diversity and significant beta diversity differences compared to the control group. The genus Afipia exhibited significant correlations with ADHD symptoms, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for ADHD.

Summary: This study compared the levels of mindfulness in children with ADHD and typically developing children, as well as their mothers. The findings showed that children with ADHD and their mothers had significantly lower levels of mindfulness compared to typically developing children and their mothers. This suggests that childhood mental disorders like ADHD can reduce mindfulness in children and their mothers.

Summary: This study compared the participation, support, and barriers for children with ADHD at home pre-COVID-19 and during the COVID-19 outbreak. Results showed a significant increase in participation frequency in activities like computer games, socializing, and household chores during the COVID-19 period. Mothers reported higher involvement levels and easier participation due to reduced cognitive and social demands, as well as more readily available resources in the home environment during the COVID-19 period.

Summary: This study examined the association between sleep disturbances and ADHD symptoms over a 9-year period, finding that sleep disturbances at age 13 predicted increased ADHD symptoms at age 18, while ADHD symptoms at age 9 predicted increased sleep disturbances at age 13. The findings highlight the importance of identifying these issues for preventive interventions.

Summary: Studies have shown that individuals with ADHD are more likely to experience functional impairments in social and occupational settings, but there is limited evidence on real-life instability. It is also unclear if these impairments differ across sex and throughout adulthood.

Summary: Research has shown that caffeine treatment can increase attention and improve learning, memory, and olfactory discrimination without affecting blood pressure and body weight. However, the role of caffeine in modulating ADHD-like symptoms is contradictory, requiring further clarification.

Summary: ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Genetic factors play a main role in its etiology, but emerging research shows the involvement of changes and imbalances in intestinal microbiota. Probiotic supplementation may have a positive effect on ADHD, but more high-quality research is needed to provide robust evidence for therapy.

Summary: This research utilizes machine learning models and Q-learning algorithm to construct clinical tools with interpretability and robustness, aiding in complex clinical diagnoses. Through simulating the differentiation process of developmental disorders in children, it demonstrates how to train more robust classifiers by maximizing accuracy and minimizing information required.

Summary: This study examined the relationship between childhood maltreatment, aggression, and psychopathy in a sample of offenders. The results showed a consistent positive association between maltreatment and aggression, while psychopathy did not mediate this relationship. Psychopathy had a positive effect on aggressive behavior. The findings suggest the need for further research on the different subtypes of psychopathy in predicting aggressive behavior based on childhood maltreatment.
