In the present study, Gum Arabic was used as a metal-free biocatalyst in the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives through condensation of 1,2-diamines and 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds at room temperature under aqueous media. The advantages of the present protocol included the appropriate reaction times, high yields, and environmental friendliness. The structure of products was approved by FT-IR and H-1-NMR spectroscopy.

One Pot Aqueous Media Synthesis of 1,3-Oxazine Derivatives Catalyzed by Reusable Nano-Al2O3/BF3/Fe3O4 at Room Temperature

Summary: This method utilizes nano-Al2O3/BF3/Fe3O4 catalyst in water at room temperature to synthesize 2-aryl/alkyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-naphtho[1,2-e][1,3]oxazines. The catalyst can be easily removed from the reaction mixture using an external magnet and shows good reusability without significant loss of activity. The synthesized 1,3-oxazine compounds were characterized by various methods and the method is environmentally friendly with excellent yields.

A Facile and Clean Synthesis of Indenopyrido[2,3-d]Pyrimidines in the Presence of Fe3O4@NCs/Cu(II) as Bio-Based Magnetic Nano-Catalyst

Summary: The bio-based magnetic nano-catalyst Fe3O4@NCs/Cu(II) was prepared by adding CuCl2 to Fe3O4@NCs in alkaline medium, and successfully used for the synthesis of a series of indenopyrido [2,3-d] pyrimidines in ethanol. The efficient and eco-friendly catalyst showed good yields, short reaction times, and easy work-up, making it suitable for reuse in subsequent experiments.

A Versatile Protocol for Synthesis of 2H-Indazolo[2,1-b]Phthalazine Triones Using γ-Al2O3/BFn/Fe3O4 as an Efficient Magnetic Nano-Catalyst

Summary: A four-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, phthalic anhydride, hydrazine monohydrate and dimedone has been achieved in the presence of nano-gamma-Al2O3/BFn/Fe3O4 as a highly effective heterogeneous catalyst to produce 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazine triones. Atom economy, low catalyst loading, reusable catalyst, applicability to a wide range of substrates and high yields of products are some important features of this protocol.

Fe3O4@NCs/Sb(V): As a Cellulose Based Nano-Catalyst for the Synthesis of 4H-Pyrimido[2,1-b]benzothiazoles

Summary: A bio-based magnetic nano-catalyst Fe3O4@nano-cellulose/Sb(V) was synthesized and its structure was confirmed by various analysis methods. The catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic ability under solvent-free conditions, achieving high yields and purity of the target compounds. It can be easily recovered and reused multiple times without significant loss of efficiency.

Summary: The nano-SiO2/1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-en was synthesized and used as a heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives. The results showed that tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyrans were synthesized in good to high yields and short reaction times, highlighting the efficiency and effectiveness of this method. Overall, the method offers advantages such as short reaction time, simplicity, catalyst recyclability, and high product yields.

Nano-BFn/cellulose: a bio-based nano-catalyst for synthesis of bio-active 7-hydroxycoumarins
