Summary: This paper introduces a novel bi-directional facial attribute transfer method based on GAN and latent representation, which can achieve good transfer results between heterogeneous images. By introducing different multipliers for loss weights, the method effectively balances information imbalance and preserves visual style consistency.

Summary: Trichothiodystrophies (TTDs) are a rare genetically heterogeneous group of syndromic conditions characterized by skin, hair, and nail abnormalities. In this study, facial analysis technology was used to identify a distinctive craniofacial dysmorphic spectrum in children with photosensitive TTDs, providing additional criteria for early diagnosis and further research.

Summary: A 40-year-old male presented with seizures due to hypocalcemia, which was diagnosed as hypoparathyroidism. The presence of dysmorphic facies, intellectual disability, and hypoparathyroidism raised suspicion of 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome, later confirmed by MLPA analysis showing 22q11.2.21 microdeletion.

Summary: This study established a new method for fast exposure of the facial nerve and hypoglossal nerve during facial nerve anastomosis surgery. The positional relationship between the posterior belly of the digastric muscle (PBD) and the nerves was explored, and an optimized surgical strategy based on the PBD was proposed. The PBD serves as an anatomical landmark for rapid identification of the facial nerve and hypoglossal nerve, and the end-to-end facial-descendens hypoglossi anastomosis is a reliable method for facial nerve reconstruction.

Summary: Ganglion cysts are benign soft tissue lesions commonly found in joints, especially wrists. Spinal ganglion cysts often occur in the most mobile segment of the lumbar spine, L4-L5. Patients typically experience pain, radiculopathy, and weakness. Conservative management is common, but surgical resection is the most common treatment approach.

Summary: Facial artery pseudoaneurysms are rare and usually caused by blunt injury. Ultrasound, especially Doppler ultrasound, is essential for the diagnosis of facial artery pseudoaneurysms, particularly in children. We report a case of facial foreign body abscess and facial artery pseudoaneurysm in a 19-month-old child diagnosed by ultrasound.

Summary: This study investigates the association of molecular markers with chronic ocular sequelae in Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN). The findings suggest a possible association between interleukin-13 and severity-graded chronic sequelae, as well as the role of HLA-A alleles-HLA-A*3301, HLA-A*02, and HLA-A*2402 in the causation and manifestation of SJS/TEN. Screening for these alleles may help caregivers identify alleles associated with severe and lifelong ocular complications, leading to appropriate treatment and management.
