This study explored the lived experiences of gender dysphoria among autistic adults, finding that participants faced significant distress and intersecting needs, and barriers in accessing healthcare for their gender needs. While some felt being autistic facilitated their understanding of their gender identity, others struggled with challenges like the tension between physical gender transition and routine.
