Summary: The study proposes a phenomenological approach to construct a model of an effective material for rubber-cord layers, suggesting the use of 3D averaged elastic properties for thin inhomogeneous layers. The numerical calculations show that the proposed potential structure and parameter determination scheme are suitable and stable.

Summary: The P3HT:PCBM mixture is the most promising system for absorber layers in flexible polymer-based photovoltaic solar cells. Studies focusing on improving the electrical and optical properties of this absorber layer are increasing, while this work aims to elucidate the effects of tensile and bending deformations on P3HT:PCBM layers deposited on PET/ITO substrates.

Summary: In this study, compressible mixing layers are simulated using direct numerical simulation. The origin of spanwise vortex deformations in turbulence is investigated, and it is found that these deformations are a result of a linear superposition of various disturbance modes. The instability mechanism of the simplified vortices is explored, and it is determined that inviscid inflectional instability is responsible for the formation of spanwise and oblique vortices. The findings suggest that the spanwise vortex deformations are a result of the combined effects of a parametric resonant mechanism and inviscid inflectional instability.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the reliability of each retinal layer thickness measurement in epiretinal membrane (ERM) patients with ectopic inner foveal layers (EIFLs). The results showed that the reproducibility of inner retinal layer thickness measurements was poor in ERM patients with EIFLs. The reproducibility of outer retinal layer thickness measurements was also poor regardless of the presence of EIFLs in ERM patients. Additionally, the thicker the central macular thickness in patients with EIFLs, the lower the reproducibility of inner retinal layer thickness measurements.

Summary: This study aimed to characterize the thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and ganglion cell layer (GCL) in eyes affected by wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD) treated with anti-VEGF, and compare it with the control group of eyes affected by early stages of dry age-related macular degeneration (dAMD). The study found that the GCL was thinner in the wAMD group compared to the dAMD group, while there were no significant differences in RNFL thickness. The number of injections received was found to have a significant correlation with layer thickness, and age over 73 was identified as a significant factor affecting RNFL thickness in both groups.

Summary: This study presents a deep-learning-based method for segmenting retinal capillary plexuses directly from volumetric OCTA data, showing feasibility and potential for simplifying OCTA data processing for retinal vasculature segmentation. The proposed technique includes a custom projection module to connect retinal layer segmentation and vasculature segmentation modules, establishing an end-to-end method without human intervention.

Summary: Studies have shown that in compressible turbulent boundary layer flows, the frequencies of superstructures have slightly longer streamwise wavelengths, and there is a distinct increase in the spanwise spacing of superstructures in supersonic cases compared to subsonic and transonic turbulent boundary layers.

Summary: This article presents a new method, MacFrag, for efficient molecule fragmentation by utilizing a modified version of BRICS rules and an efficient subgraphs extraction algorithm. Evaluation results with ChEMBL dataset showed that MacFrag was faster overall than BRICS implemented in RDKit and modified molBLOCKS, and the fragments obtained through MacFrag were more compliant with the 'Rule of Three'.

Summary: The study reveals the significant impact of large-scale motions on the turbulent/nonturbulent interface and turbulent entrainment in turbulent boundary layers. High-speed large-scale motions enhance the engulfment process and result in a more distorted TNTI. These mechanisms are universal for turbulent boundary layers with different wall shapes.

Summary: This study evaluated anatomical and microvascular anomalies in prematurely born children with a history of ROP. The results showed increased foveal vessel densities and decreased parafoveal vessel densities in both ROP groups. Additionally, visual functions were found to be correlated with retinal vascular and anatomical structure anomalies.

Summary: This study analyzed retinal thickness data of 253 eyes using cluster analysis, revealing concentric spatial cluster patterns in most retinal layers. Age-related thickness decline accelerated after the late 4th decade, with the ganglion cell layer, inner plexiform layer, inner nuclear layer, and outer nuclear layer+Henle's fibre layer significantly associated with age.
